Good day all,

Due to the Corona Virus our church is still closed, but we hope and pray that we should be able to open up in the beginning of September 2020.

We miss you all and are praying for you, shalom.

DEVOTIONAL 83 “Jesus is the Life” – Joh 11:25

Joh 11:25 Jesus said to her, I am [Myself] the Resurrection and the Life. Whoever believes in (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on) Me, although he may die, yet he shall live; Joh 11:26 And whoever continues to live and believes in (has faith in, cleaves to, and relies on) Me shall never [actually] die at all. Do you believe this?

Jesus is the life itself – this is what He is teaching us in this scripture.  He is the One who bring Life and He says that if you rely on Him; or trust in Him; or adhere to His teachings, then you should not have a problem at all to understand that you are actually living in the Kingdom of God.

The part of this scripture that really touches my heart; is that His word says: “although he may die, yet shall he live”.  This is where we start realizing that there is this physical life where we live, but there is also a spiritual world out there, and if you rely on Jesus and believe in Him, it means that you have access to live in this spiritual world, which is His Kingdom.  And yes, you can already live in the Kingdom today!  It is not something that is still coming, it is already here.  Jesus Christ is your life! He is the One who gives you life in abundance so that you can succeed in your everyday life. Look at V26… those who believe and cleave to Him; and rely on Him shall never actually die at all…! DO YOU BELIEVE THIS? Is Jesus your life?

DEVOTIONAL 82 – “Draw on His Power” – Acts 1:8

Good day saints of God,

So many times we want to do things but we battle to do them because we think that we are unable to do it.  But in Acts 1:8 we are taught that His power is the ability, strength, might, skills, and all that we need – and this will enable us to be what God wants us to be as His servants here on earth.

We are here to help God expand His Kingdom and for this reason we must be One with Him, be partakers of the Divine, and also make use of the gifts God has given us.

We must remember, before Jesus started His three year’s public Ministry, He was baptized in water and anointed with the Holy Spirit of God to do great things (Mark 1:10).  With these gifts He was able to do all the great things He did.  And now He lives in us, which means that we are now equipped with the same power that Jesus had.

His word says we can do all Jesus did and more… John 14:12… what more do you want?   You are a son of God walking on the earth with so much power… it actually blows my mind that Christians do not understand that they can draw on the power of Christ within them to overcome anything in this life… ANYTHING !!!

DEVOTIONAL 81 “Revived Life” – Eze 37:1-14

Maybe today you are one of those people that feel like life is just not worth going on anymore.  Maybe you feel so down-and-out that you wonder why you should keep going? Are you so tired and mentally drained that you feel you could want to sleep forever?

Do you think that your life is looking like the dry bones in Ezekiel chapter One.  Are your situation so bad and the circumstances so overwhelming that you think there is no way out…. you should read 1 Cor 10:13.

Have no doubt or fear… for God is with you.  Even though you might not feel Him right now, He loves you and He is holding you.  He wants you to be blessed, saved, healed, delivered and set free.  You hope may seem that you have lost it along the way, but God is there to help you, and will refresh your hope and trust in Him.  He has a way out for you.

God will refresh and bring to life that situation in your life that seems to be so dry and dead.  He is able to do abundantly more than what we can ever think or feel.

We are praying for you! – TRT Church

DEVOTIONAL 80 “Keep the Faith” – Jud 1:20

Jud 1:20 But you, beloved, build yourselves up [founded] on your most holy faith [make progress, rise like an edifice higher and higher], praying in the Holy Spirit;

There are many scriptures in God’s Word that teach us about having faith and keeping the faith, but one of my favorites is this scripture that we find in Jud 1:20.

He tells us that we are His beloved; and that we should build ourselves up in the holy faith to which your believes are founded upon.  Then He continues to teach us to progress… in other words move forward.  Never stop believing.  Never stop growing in your faith…. don’t quit… persevere and endure!

Also that you should rise like and edifice higher and higher in the spirit and while you do that, stay in faith by praying to the Holy Spirit language of God, which He has blessed you with.

Today i want to encourage you to keep praying in faith, keep walking in faith, keep dreaming in faith; keep going by faith…. run the race in faith… and God will raise you up!

DEVOTIONAL 79 “Fasting” – Ezr 8:21

Ezr 8:21 Then I proclaimed a fast there, at the river Ahava, that we might humble ourselves before our God to seek from Him a straight and right way for us, our little ones, and all our possessions.

Isn’t it wonderful that the Israelite’s had the Prophets to guide them and help them to correct the mistakes they made from time to time?  When Ezra proclaimed a Fast it was for the benefit of everyone who felt that they did something wrong before God.

Even today we sometimes do things knowing that it is wrong and God might not be happy with us.  This is why i believe it is good to do a Fast now and then when you feel that it is necessary to separate yourself with God.  This Fast was done at the River Ahava which also has a spiritual connection to it, because Jesus is the River of Life…. the Fast that God proclaimed for us to have is to FAST FROM SIN!  Read more about Fasting in Isa 58.

I want to encourage you to do a Fast when you feel guided by the Spirit to do so, because it can only bring you closer to God.  I am now at a time of my life where i am coming into the habit of Fasting one day a week, in separation with God.  And it does wonders for my spiritual being and relationship with God; apart from that, it is also very healthy.  Doctors say that if you have not had any food for more than 12 hours, you have fasted.

PS: There are more than 8 Fasts in the Word of God that He blessed us with and if you want to learn more, you can contact us on email at

DEVOTIONAL 78 “Salvation for all” – Act 9:20

Act 9:20 And immediately in the synagogues he proclaimed Jesus, saying, He is the Son of God!  Act 9:21 And all who heard him were amazed and said, Is not this the very man who harassed and overthrew and destroyed in Jerusalem those who called upon this Name? And he has come here for the express purpose of arresting them and bringing them in chains before the chief priests.  Act 9:22 But Saul increased all the more in strength, and continued to confound and put to confusion the Jews who lived in Damascus by comparing and examining evidence and proving that Jesus is the Christ (the Messiah).

As Leaders of churches it is our duty to proclaim the gift of salvation to all who are not saved; but sometimes it is difficult because some people just don’t want to hear about the gospel of Christ.  Nevertheless we should continue to be strengthened by the Holy Spirit’ power to try and help all those who need salvation.

We pray for the unsaved day and night so that they too, can received salvation and live for God and with Him in His Kingdom; just like Paul changed his life from being an unbeliever to becoming one of the most famous disciples of Jesus Christ.

Is there some of your family members that are not saved?  Be encouraged today as Jesus fills your heart with hope – He also wants them to get saved, so keep praying for your family members. God is faithful and they will come into His Kingdom.

DEVOTIONAL 77 “Peace” – Php 4:7

Php 4:7 And God’s peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

This amazing scripture tells us that God’s peace shall be with us… and to tell you the truth, i know for a fact there is no other kind of peace like the peace of God.  This Word says that His peace with assure your soul of the great gift of Salvation which you received from Christ.

When you have this peace from God, you will fear nothing from God; and you will be happy with whatever God decides must happen with your life.  This peace is so great that it guards your hearts and also your understanding (mind) in Christ.

Do you not wish to have this kind of peace in your life every second of everyday? …..or are you already there?

DEVOTIONAL 76 “Be Energized” – 2 Cor 2:14

2 Cor 2:14 But thanks be to God, Who in Christ always leads us in triumph [as trophies of Christ’s victory] and through us spreads and makes evident the fragrance of the knowledge of God everywhere,

It is amazing how much Christians battle sometimes to get through the day and feel that they have no strength to do anything, they feel weak, tired, sometimes even to the point that they want to give up  in life! But God says that He is the One that energizes us and gives us strength to do what He wants us to do.  I think we get tired and exhausted when we try to do things in our own way and not trust in God to keep giving us strength.

He leads us into triumph in every situation in our lives and therefore He also gives us the strength, abilities, skills, and energy to do things.  We are already more than conquerors (Rom 8:37) but it is time we start living like conquerors.

Thank the Lord for your energy He gives you and step into the next level of your faith!

DEVOTIONAL 75 “God with us” – Heb 13:5

Heb 13:5 .for He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!]

The above scriptures is one of those beautiful scriptures in Gods Word that gives us the reassurance that you will never be alone, no matter what you go through.

It is almost as if God is emphasizing: “I will never, ever, ever forsake you”… we need to sometimes just sit down and realize that God is encouraging us.  In the book of John 10:28 Jesus also uses the same technique of encouragement to express that we will receive eternal salvation.

Whatever you are facing today, just remember God’s Word will never return nil and void.  If the Creator of the Universe tells you that He will be with you, then you should not fear… for He is truly with you!

DEVOTIONAL 74 “Unity in Christ” – Col 2:6

Col 2:6 As you have therefore received Christ, [even] Jesus the Lord, [so] walk (regulate your lives and conduct yourselves) in union with and conformity to Him.

If you have said YES to Jesus, then you are His child, irrespective of who you are, where you have been or what you have done.  God forgives and forgets when you say YES.  Sometimes i wish people could forgive so quickly as God can…. nevertheless, if you are God’s Child you are in Union with Him; and not just Him, but God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit as a whole.

The above scripture would remind us that if we are to live in Unity with Him, we should regulate our lives so that we can remain in Unity with Him; and also we should conduct ourselves in conformity to His will, His purpose for our lives, and His actions.

My prayer for you is that You will always remain in perfect Unity with Christ our Lord… for the benefit of your life and also His Kingdom.

DEVOTIONAL 73 “Love” – John 3:16

To explain the good news gospel of Jesus Christ to someone new who has never heard it, is not always so easy.  And it might take one a few minutes or even more than an hour or two to explain to them what Jesus did for them on the cross.

Joh 3:16 For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.

This is the scripture of the gospel that everyone should know and understand… what we can see here is that the Holy Spirit who wrote this verse through using men of old, did not use a whole lot of words and essays to describe what He is all about. He used one scripture to explain the whole gospel, and it all started with LOVE.

His love is amazing; it is unconditional; it is prosperous; and it is beautiful… His love is un-measurable, it is peace; it is joy; it is good and it is freely given…

How much more should we tell each other how much we love them… not just by saying it, but by showing them love too.

DEVOTIONAL 72 “Standing Strong” – 2 Tim 3:1-5

2 Ti 3:1 But understand this, that in the last days will come (set in) perilous times of great stress and trouble [hard to deal with and hard to bear].  2 Ti 3:2 For people will be lovers of self and [utterly] self-centered, lovers of money and aroused by an inordinate [greedy] desire for wealth, proud and arrogant and contemptuous boasters. They will be abusive (blasphemous, scoffing), disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy and profane.  2 Ti 3:3 [They will be] without natural [human] affection (callous and inhuman), relentless (admitting of no truce or appeasement); [they will be] slanderers (false accusers, troublemakers), intemperate and loose in morals and conduct, uncontrolled and fierce, haters of good.  2 Ti 3:4 [They will be] treacherous [betrayers], rash, [and] inflated with self-conceit. [They will be] lovers of sensual pleasures and vain amusements more than and rather than lovers of God.  2 Ti 3:5 For [although] they hold a form of piety (true religion), they deny and reject and are strangers to the power of it [their conduct belies the genuineness of their profession]. Avoid [all] such people [turn away from them].

With everything that is happening in South Africa and also in the world in the last few years; we can almost see the above scripture unfolding before our eyes.  These are truly perilous time.  There is not much love between races, tribes, nationalities, and even families.  Hatred seems to be at the order of the day and a spirit of pride and arrogance is everywhere to be seen.  And in saying that i am not negative, but speaking the truth; and i challenge you all to confess that there will be love between races, tribes, nationalities and even families.

It is in times like these that the Christians must stand firm in their faith, and keep standing strong even though it is not always easy to do.  God’s Word encourages us and if we are guided by the Holy Spirit of God we know that He will fight on our behalf.  His amazing strength and power lives in us and we are able to withstand any foe.  Stand strong in your faith! And keep speaking positive confessions over yourself and our beloved Country.

DEVOTIONAL 71 “Small Beginnings” – Zech 4:10

Zec 4:10 Who [with reason] despises the day of small things? …

The first half of this scripture tells us not to despise the times or days of small beginnings…. this is why i am not concerned about the people that are laughing at us… because God is busy putting everything in place and soon, very quickly, speedily and rapidly everything that i have been praying for and prophesied, will come to pass in my life… this church will be called a house of prayer; a house of praise and worship; a house of healing and deliverance… such is my faith in God and His promises to me.  By the way, God only saved seven people to be on the Ark with Noah… Jesus only had twelve disciples to begin with… so what are you laughing about?

Those people that usually laugh at others who are trying to do something in life, are really the ones who need prayer and we pray for those who laugh at us.  Every big preacher out there started small, with a few people only.  They did not start today and tomorrow there were thousands in their church… no!  They started small, and had faith that God is able and faithful to do what He had promised them.

Well, my faith is also in the same God, and what He did for all of them, He will do for me and more! That is where my faith is – so you see, small beginnings is exactly what it is… a BEGINNING…. it depends on how you look at it.  Do you see the word “small” or do you see the word “BEGINNING”…. because today i renew my strength in the Lord and trust Him completely for all He wants me to do for Him.  I rely on Him only, for everything i need and wish, or even desire.  God is able. And you should do the same if you are trusting Him for something big.

Small beginnings is nothing to laugh about… you should rejoice because great is He that is in me….. and He is faithful…. let’s go, Holy Ghost, let’s shake the world with the Truth!

DEVOTIONAL 70 “Prayer” – Mar 1:35

Prayer is very important for us to keep going from day to day especially if you are a child of God and living in the world today with everything that is going on.

Jesus often prayed and when He did, it was mostly early in the morning hours.  Some of us have the desire to prayer more but it is often too much effort for us to get up early in the morning.  But we should at least make an effort to pray and spend time with God alone when we wake up each day.  This is very important for our walk as Christians.  Not only do we get to have an intimate relationship with God; but we get to know Him better and grow spiritually as we go.

Let us think about this for a moment: if prayer was not important for Christ, he would probably have slept late….!  But He got up, prayed and then started His day; showing us how we should do it. He also did not pray on the street corners, but went to a private place where He could be alone with His Father, most of the time in a Garden…  have you ever wondered why? Maybe because the first thing God ever did was create for himself a Garden in Eden, where He could place His beautiful creations.

I would like to advise you to keep your prayers simple, but powerful…. give praises as well as supplications; worship Him as well as tell Him of your need. The righteous prayer of a believer avails much….

DEVOTIONAL 69 “Peace from God” – Rom 8:6

Peace is a true confirmation that we do hear from God.  When we wait on God’s true peace (Jehovah Shalom, the Prince of Peace, who is Jesus Christ) then we will be obedient in whatever He tells us to do.  When we are obedient, God is pleased with us and we will have soul peace.

Rom 8:6 Now the mind of the flesh [which is sense and reason without the Holy Spirit] is death [death that comprises all the miseries arising from sin, both here and hereafter]. But the mind of the [Holy] Spirit is life and [soul] peace [both now and forever].

Are you in a place where you need to make a decision today about something?  Talk to God about it, and do not proceed to do it until you have received total peace from Him.  In today’s life if you are a Christian you should always listen to God and not bother about what other people say.  Whether they think you are crazy or not, if you feel the Holy Spirit is telling you to do something and you have peace about it; then do it.  You don’t have to explain yourself to anybody.

Remember, the devil will always try and make you do something that will not give you peace… do not submit to the voice of the devil in your ear.   Wait until you hear from God, and then get peace about it.  The devil cannot give peace, he can never be a peace-giver like Jesus is.  If you doubt about something, that is the devil whispering in your ear.  Then don’t do it.

If you have peace about something, it is from God… do not doubt!

DEVOTIONAL 68 “Insight” – Col 3:16

Col 3:16 Let the word [spoken by] Christ (the Messiah) have its home [in your hearts and minds] and dwell in you in [all its] richness, as you teach and admonish and train one another in all insight and intelligence and wisdom [in spiritual things, and as you sing] psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, making melody to God with [His] grace in your hearts.

If you are a child of God then Jesus (the Word of God) lives inside of you.  He lives in your heart and you have Him in your mind (the mind of Christ).  With Jesus living in you, you will have new ideas, knowledge, wisdom, intelligence and brand-new insights with regards to your life issues.

Because you have received wisdom and insight from God, it puts you in the position to also teach other children of God what they need to know and how they need to live as children of God.

May God’s riches in Christ dwell permanently inside you and may you realize how blessed you are to have the Lord living inside of you.

DEVOTIONAL 67 “It is written” – Luk 4:1-12

Please read Luke 4:1-12 (see below)

In this peace of scripture we see that the devil even tried to tempt Jesus Christ our Lord, how much more would he want to try and tempt us.  The question is whether you are going to allow him to tempt you or not…?

If we look at the way that Jesus answered the devil when he came with temptations, we see that Jesus answered him from the Word of God.  All the time Jesus answered the devil “It is written”…  anytime the devil wants to come to you with temptations, just answer him the same way that Jesus did – “It is written in the Word of God”.

Sometimes it happens that we confess the Word over a situation, and then when it takes a while for our victory to come we might feel that God did not answer us, and we start doubting.

Do not let the devil put that on you.  Keep confessing the Word of God, no matter how sad or difficult the situation might seem, God will always answer His word… His Word cannot return nil and void …

Speak God’s Word – it brings life to any situation… remember, it is written!

LUKE 4:1-12
Luk 4:1  THEN JESUS, full of and controlled by the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led in [by] the [Holy] Spirit

Luk 4:2  For (during) forty days in the wilderness (desert), where He was tempted (tried, tested exceedingly) by the devil. And He ate nothing during those days, and when they were completed, He was hungry. [Deu 9:9; 1Ki 19:8]
Luk 4:3  Then the devil said to Him, If You are the Son of God, order this stone to turn into a loaf [of bread].
Luk 4:4  And Jesus replied to him, It is written, Man shall not live and be sustained by (on) bread alone but by every word and expression of God. [Deu 8:3]
Luk 4:5  Then the devil took Him up to a high mountain and showed Him all the kingdoms of the habitable world in a moment of time [in the twinkling of an eye].
Luk 4:6  And he said to Him, To You I will give all this power and authority and their glory (all their magnificence, excellence, preeminence, dignity, and grace), for it has been turned over to me, and I give it to whomever I will.
Luk 4:7  Therefore if You will do homage to and worship me [just once], it shall all be Yours.
Luk 4:8  And Jesus replied to him, Get behind Me, Satan! It is written, You shall do homage to and worship the Lord your God, and Him only shall you serve. [Deu 6:13; Deu 10:20]
Luk 4:9  Then he took Him to Jerusalem and set Him on a gable of the temple, and said to Him, If You are the Son of God, cast Yourself down from here;
Luk 4:10  For it is written, He will give His angels charge over you to guard and watch over you closely and carefully;
Luk 4:11  And on their hands they will bear you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone. [Psa 91:11-12]
Luk 4:12  And Jesus replied to him, [The Scripture] says, You shall not tempt (try, test exceedingly) the Lord your God. [Deu 6:16]

DEVOTIONAL 66 “Public Display of God’s Power – Joh 2:1-11

Please read John 2:1-11.  In the above scriptures we see a whole story of how Jesus portrait Himself as the Son of God when He did His first public miracle by turning water into wine.  As a child He already did miracles by healing His friend when he fell from their house roof; and Jesus also made a bird from mud and it came alive… you can read about these very interesting miracles (from Jesus when He was a child) in the Apocalyptic books.

This whole story has a very deep spiritual meaning and i am sad to think that some people use this verse as an excuse to say we can drink wine because Jesus made it.  If you think this way, you are still far from being a spiritually matured Christian in Gods Kingdom.

This marriage took place at Cana in Galilea and Jesus was at the wedding feast with His mother and some disciples.  His mother knew that He was the Son of God and could do basically anything even though till then they had not seen much public miracles by Jesus.

Jesus showed a public display of the power of God.  And some of us have received some gifts from God; and we should also make a public display of God’s Power. But sometimes in life God will hide you from the public eye for a season even though others might know you have a gift/s from God.  There is always an appointed time for you to step forward and into the public eye, especially if you are doing something for Jesus.  And rest assured, when He brings you out at the right time, people will notice….

Jesus was brought out at the wedding in Cana, Galilea, to show the power of God.  Trust God to do the same for you.

Stay focused on your dream, with God you will get there and with him on your side, you are already a success.

DEVOTIONAL 65 “Bless the Lord, oh my Soul” – Psa 16:7-11

Psa 16:7 I will bless the Lord, Who has given me counsel; yes, my heart instructs me in the night seasons.  Psa 16:8 I have set the Lord continually before me; because He is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. Psa 16:9 Therefore my heart is glad and my glory [my inner self] rejoices; my body too shall rest and confidently dwell in safety, Psa 16:10 For You will not abandon me to Sheol (the place of the dead), neither will You suffer Your holy one [Holy One] to see corruption. Psa 16:11 You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy, at Your right hand there are pleasures forevermore.

Don’t you think it is just so wonderful that God “works” on us during the night seasons… while we are asleep, Jesus heals us and delivers us, and instructs our heart (spirit).  The above scriptures promises that we will not be moved; and our physical bodies will rest and dwell in safety because God is continually before us.

In this poem David writes that God shall not allow him to go into the place of dead…. and neither shall he see corruption.  Can you imagine to have so much trust in the Lord that you can say the same? David has absolute trust in God to show him the path of life because he knows that the Lord have pleasures forevermore; and in God’s presence there is continual joy… not just any kind of joy, but Joy in fullness.

How amazing is our God!

DEVOTIONAL 64 “God is for you!” – Rom 8:31

The Bible of God’s Word teaches us that we were fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of God.  He formed us and knew us before we were even born… He formed and knitted us together in our Mother’s womb. How amazing is this God that we serve?  The truth is that God approved of you before you even saw the light; before you could walk or speak; before you did anything – He already approved you!  You are chosen! (Eph 1).

Rom 8:31 What then shall we say to [all] this? If God is for us, who [can be] against us? [Who can be our foe, if God is on our side?] [see also Ps. 118:6.]

What we need to understand and accept is that if God is for us, who can be against us?  Who shall touch us if God is on our side.  The reality of this only sink into our minds when we have been in a situation where we had nobody but Jesus to help us out – the truth is that He always comes through for His children.

Now if God accepted you, chose you, made you, formed you, and approves of you – why worry what other people think about you…? It doesn’t matter! Listen, it really doesn’t matter! Not everybody likes me (most people do) but one in a million might not, but that does not bother me, because i was made in God’s image and God approves of me no matter where i have been and no matter what i have done!  If i repented and accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior, then nobody can point a finger at me, and the same to you!  You are free in Christ! Get the picture?  GOD REALLY DO APPROVE OF YOU!

DEVOTIONAL 63 “Stay humble in Confrontation” – Joh 8:49-56

Read the above scriptures in the Book of John 8: 49-56. As we see Jesus had to confront His opposition – there was always Pharisees or Sadducee’s that did not agree with Him on certain issues. Even some of the Jewish Leaders (Sanhedrin) and scribes did not always agree on things He said and did. Especially because the Teachings of Jesus was not always clear to everyone. Many people did not understand what He was Teaching.

On many occasions Jesus had to answer them in a way that they had to understand He is giving them the truth. In the life we are living today on earth, it is not easy to agree with everybody on everything; but if you want to move forward in life you sometimes need to confront the issues head-on like Jesus did.  And of course this is never easy to do.

Because Jesus is called the Prince of Peace it was difficult for the Israelite’s to understand why He would get offended when He saw the people selling doves and things in the Temple-Area. Even in the above scenario we see Jesus was very direct when talking to them; and He did not try to “sugar-coat” them at all – He was very open and truthful. We also see that Jesus laid out the issue very straight-forward. We see that in no way did Jesus even try to draw attention to Himself by proving that He is right, but just plainly explained the truth as they should accept it.

If it happens that you have to get the truth over to someone by confronting them; let it be… confrontation most of the times brings the truth through and if that is your goal, just go for it!  Only remember to confront with Love and humbleness as Jesus did.  Wherever He went, He still loved the people – even if He had to rebuke them for selling things in the Temple area, He loved the people still. He remained Humble and never proclaimed that He knew more, but instead He just stated the fact that they are not allowed to sell items in the Temple Area, for it was His Father’s house.

SO let us confront with Love and humbleness…

DEVOTIONAL 62 “Christ lives in you” – Gal 2:20

Gal 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ [in Him I have shared His crucifixion]; it is no longer I who live, but Christ (the Messiah) lives in me; and the life I now live in the body I live by faith in (by adherence to and reliance on and complete trust in) the Son of God, Who loved me and gave Himself up for me.

This scripture seems very strange at first when you are a new born in Christ, but as you grow in Spirit you begin to realize that as He cleanses you by His Spirit, you automatically lay aside those things that so easily beset us; while being purified by the Holy Spirit of God; and therefore you begin to understand that you no longer live here on earth.  Yes, maybe your flesh is walking around here, but really your spirit is linked with the Holy Spirit of God and therefore you are living in the Kingdom of God (which is a spiritual place)… around you!

The Scripture also says the life you now live in your physical body is a life you are living by faith in Jesus, trusting Him to look after your flesh while you are here on earth… complete trust in God (and the sacrifice of Jesus) brings blessings into your life!

DEVOTIONAL 61 “Integrity” – Gal 2:11-21

Integrity is one of those gifts that not many of God’s people live by, unfortunately.  And it is really sad.  People might think that they are perfect Christians, but if they are always late for meetings; if they never answer calls back; if they don’t bother to send a message back when someone send you something; if they never stand up for what is right, they they don’t have integrity.

Please read the following scriptures – Gal 2:11-21.

Paul was teaching Peter a lesson of Integrity in the above scriptures.  He teaches us also how to critique someone without breaking them down.  The secret is to be honest, straight-forward and down to earth.  You should try to help the person and not humiliate them by showing them with love what their problem is.The Integrity of Paul’s is seen when he stands up to Peter in front of Jewish Leaders, and fellow believers as well as gentiles.  Peter was a hypocrite and Paul attacked him and demanded that he should do the right thing and be consistent in his doings.  It didn’t matter in whose company you are, but you always need to do the right thing.

It must have been hard for him; but he endured and demanded through his actions that all christian leaders must remain consistent in their Christian life-style no matter who your friends or family is.

Like Paul we should name the problem to try and help the person that is at fault; and always with Love in mind.  We should never compare people with each other, but rather let them discover themselves by helping them to encourage them instead of attacking the person.  I pray that you will receive and walk in the gift of Integrity as Jesus did.

As believers in Christ, we have to continue to check your motive in everything you do…

  • are you a person that has Integrity?

DEVOTIONAL 60 “Promises from God” – Mat 6:31-32

Jesus taught us not to worry because He will look after us just like He looks after the birds… so Why do Christians worry about what they will eat or what they will wear?  The same God who helped the Israelite’s in the Wilderness for 40 years, is the same God that wants to help you now.  He is waiting for you to ask Him for help.  The God that is in His Holy dwelling is also the Father of the fatherless, and the husband for the widows.  Why do you then still say you are lonely?  If the Spirit of God is with you, you can never be lonely.

Just like God the Father has compassion for us, His Son Jesus also loves us and care about us; so much so that He gave His own life so that you don’t ever have to feel lonely or rejected.  Jesus said to us: “Don’t be afraid, little flock.  Your Father is pleased to give you the Kingdom” (Luk 12:32).  If you are living in God’s Kingdom, you don’t have to fear anything or anybody.

God has been promising from the beginning: “I will be your Father”…. why don’t we trust Him in promises like these.  He is our Father who will look after us in any situation where we need help.  All you need to do is ask Him, then rest in the trust knowing He will provide for you; and then wait for the manifestation of the blessings that will come to your life – 2 Cor 6:18.

DEVOTIONAL 59 “Freedom” – John 8:36

Joh 8:36 So if the Son liberates you [makes you free men], then you are really and unquestionably free.

This is one of those scriptures that i enjoy reading so much… everybody likes to quote it as: “When the Son sets you free, you are free indeed”… and that is fine.

But have a look at what it says in the Amplified Bible.  You are UNQUESTIONABLY free.  Meaning that no-one can dare ask you what you are doing when you are a child of God, because in freedom of Christ (through His sacrifice) you are free indeed and no-one has the right to ask you anything.  Why do you do this or why do you do that, or why do it in this way?

You have truly been liberated by Christ – the bible defines “liberty” as “Emancipation from bondage”.  Whenever you have been set free from God, it means you have come out of bondage in whatever situation or circumstances you were in.

We must understand that God wants you to live in freedom and not in a religion, or bondage of legalism, or under the law.  No, we are under Grace of Jesus and we belong to the household of faith.  You are truly free if you are a Son of God (Mat 5:9).

DEVOTIONAL 58 “Scars for the Kingdom” – Gal 6:17

Gal 6:17 From now on let no person trouble me [by making it necessary for me to vindicate my apostolic authority and the divine truth of my Gospel], for I bear on my body the [brand] marks of the Lord Jesus [the wounds, scars, and other outward evidence of persecutions–these testify to His ownership of me]! …

So may time we as believers in Christ ponder about the stuff we are going through (like sickness, trials, temptations, poverty) and it feels like we can’t keep going because it is too much to bear.  I want to remind you this day about the things that the Disciples went through during their walk for Christ.

Brother Paul writes in Gal 6 that he carries the scars on his physical body of everything they had to endure while preaching the good news gospel of Jesus Christ.  My question to you this morning is, how many scars do you bear on your physical body?  Paul and others were flocked, mocked, ship-wrecked…. do i need to continue?  Do you ever hear them complain about anything they did for Jesus…?  I rest my case!

Paul and the whole crew shipwrecked in Acts 27

You might have spiritual scars like loneliness, rejection and other things you had to endure for the sake of Christ and His Kingdom but rest assured, God sees everything you do for Him and he will lift you up at the right time.  Stay Humble, stay in Love and keep the faith!

DEVOTIONAL 57 “Glorious Resurrection” – Mat 20:19

Mat 20:19 And deliver Him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and whipped and crucified, and He will be raised [to life] on the third day.

This scripture always encourages me that whatever i go through in life, there is going to be a resurrection coming…!  If our Lord, who has gone through so much pain and suffering, was raised on the third day; we ought to look forward for the coming day in our situation knowing a resurrection is coming!

Your current circumstances might be difficult, but think about what Jesus had gone through during those last few days before He was crucified.  Even the horrible crucifixion is something we still cannot understand, no matter how much we try.  I don’t think any person in life would ever really understand the physical pain He had to endure…

I want you to know today, your resurrection is coming, and it is coming soon!  Jesus was not in the tomb for years on end; He was resurrected only in three days.  If you really understand the Kingdom of God you will know… there is no time in the Kingdom.  How is your faith in your God?  Can you believe that He is able to resurrect you out of this situation within a couple of hours…. for those who can believe, all things are possible!  Let us also never forget to thank Him for the fact that He was resurrected, for through His resurrection our faith stands.

DEVOTIONAL 56 God’s will for you- 2 Tim 3:16-17

Many people tell me that they do not know what God’s will is for them in their lives.  I am sad to know so many people do not know the purpose for their lives, even after they have been “Christians” for more than fifteen years.

It is really very simple – if you want to know what God’s plan and purpose for your life is, you must read the Bible.  Study His scriptures, and you will find your purpose.  His Word is a Lamp to our feet; His word is guidance for you; His Word will set you free: His Word will encourage you; His word will show you the right things to do in life… if you know the truth, it will set you free! It will give you guidance through the situations you have in life (Prov 1:1-4).

Look at 2 Tim 3:16-17 Every Scripture is God-breathed (given by His inspiration) and profitable for instruction, for reproof and conviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience, [and] for training in righteousness (in holy living, in conformity to God’s will in thought, purpose, and action), 2Ti 3:17 So that the man of God may be complete and proficient, well fitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Now read the above scripture slowly again and again… read it a few times and then study it word-for-word.  You will get it – it will teach you what Gods Word is all about, and you will know exactly what God wants you to do.

DEVOTIONAL 55 “Are you Angry?” – Eph 4:26

Let us look at Eph 4:26 When angry, do not sin; do not ever let your wrath (your exasperation, your fury or indignation) last until the sun goes down.  So let me ask you: Do you get angry at someone and then afterwards you feel guilty about getting angry?  Because as children of God we sometimes do things, and as soon as we do it, the Holy Spirit convicts us about getting angry…

You should not allow the devil to put that guilt upon you. Nothing that you will do, will change what happened.  You got mad, so deal with it, let it go, get up and move on!  Immediately forgive yourself for getting angry, then forgive the person who made you angry, and then go to God and worship Him, thanking Him for giving you the grace to forgive.  And if you battle to let go, ask the Lord to HELP you. He is faithful and will help you.

Getting angry is something we all do, so don’t feel like you are a bad person if you get angry a lot… God is still dealing with you.  Sometimes He wants to see how you are going to deal with it… maybe it is time for you to deal with this Anger-issue and trust the Lord to help you get over it – the only thing it does is bring bitterness and negative feelings….and that can turn into depression.

Don’t allow this spirit of Anger to rule your life.  Anger brings sin about.

Our scripture Eph 4:26 says: Don not sin when you are angry… fix this anger before you go to bed that night!  You don’t know if that person is going to be there tomorrow, so fix it today!  Ask God to give your peace and calmness back and forgive yourself and the person, and then let them know that you have forgiven them for what they did to you. Make a decision in your life that you will try not to get Angry anymore, and God will help you to overcome this spirit and to keep your Joy.  Anger just steals our peace and joy – don’t let it happen to you!

DEVOTIONAL 54 “Good News for you” – Acts 23:6-7

Act 23:6 But Paul, when he perceived that one part of them were Sadducees and the other part Pharisees, cried out to the council (Sanhedrin), Brethren, I am a Pharisee, a son of Pharisees; it is with regard to the hope and the resurrection of the dead that I am indicted and being judged. Act 23:7 So when he had said this, an angry dispute arose between the Pharisees and the Sadducees; and the whole [crowded] assemblage was divided [into two factions].

When reading the above scripture we clearly see that the Sadducees did not believe in the Resurrection of Christ and they got very upset when Paul spoke about the resurrection of Jesus.  They did not believe in the after life.  After Jesus was crucified a story went around that someone had stolen the body of Christ to make it appear that He had come back to life but no-one was able to produce a dead body.  I can very well imagined how this frustrated the Sadducees, the Sanhedrin and the Pharisees.  Thank God that many people believed the Apostles and the number of people believing in Jesus by faith continued to grow.

Today take a minute to thank the Lord for the fact that He rose from the dead for you, so that you can live a good, prosperous, healthy, and wealthy life in the kingdom of God, for if He did not die on the cross He had no need to be resurrected; but since He did die for you; you are able to live an elevated life in Gods Kingdom with Him everyday.  What an amazing blessing from God, that by through His Son’s sacrifice on the cross, He opened the Way for you to have a good and blessed life.

DEVOTIONAL 53 “He’s always with you” – Dan 3:25

Have you ever felt that some days you are alone and even though you pray, it feels like God is not with you?  Well, don’t feel alone.  Every believer in Christ sometime in their walk with the Lord feel like God have left them. But no matter what you are going through remember this:  “I will never leave you nor forsake you” (Deut 31:6).  In this scripture God gives us the reassurance that we should not be afraid of anything, for He is always with us.

Daniel’s friends knew with utmost surety, relying on God that He would not leave them alone when they entered into the furnace.  We can learn much from them.  Even while they understood that in the natural world, a furnace like that should kill them; they still went in there with calmness, confidently relying on God to help them.  How amazing is that?  I pray that every believer can have that kind of confident relying and trust in God in any situation they are going through.

When the King Nebuchadnezzer realized there was a supernatural fourth being in the furnace, he realized that the God of these men were the real God.  Some people thought this fourth being to be an Angel, but i believe it was the Holy Spirit making its appearance to comfort them.  He is the Comforter (Joh 14:26).  Just like with Daniel’s friends, the Holy Spirit is always with you… call upon His comfort to enfold you when you feel down-and-out, He is able to comfort and lift you up.

DEVOTIONAL 52 “Are you ready?” – Mat 24:36

Mat 24:36 But of that [exact] day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

When i read the above scripture, it always amazes me that people can still try to predict when Jesus will return.  Scientists and other Scholars of the Word always try to teach us when will be the time He is coming; even on the internet today you find many unnatural things happening in the world (especially during February 2018) and then they give the topic: “The End is coming”; or “The End is here”; or something similar.  They write about floods; earthquakes; lights in the sky; faces of Jesus in the clouds; Angels seen moving on earth… etc.  But the funny thing is, Jesus warned us about all these things in Matt 24.  It is therefore not strange to us.  And all these are true and i believe them, but this is not a sign of the End time.  This is a sign that a new Season in our lives will begin when Jesus re-appear, because we will reign with Him on earth!  Yes, this same earth!

Jimmy Carter, one of America’s Presidents said the following: “We should live our life as though Christ was coming this afternoon”.  I think these are wise words, and we should adopt this axiom.

But my question to you today is: “Are you ready”?  If Jesus would appear right now before you, where you are  (because the Bible says every eye will see Him)… will you be ready?  Are you in that place where you can leave everything you are busy with, and reach out to your Savior and say:  “Here am I, Lord”…

I imagine, if you are still holding on to all the millions laying in your Bank; still bragging about your new car; still showing off your new house you bought to your family…..  i imagine, with sadness, that you will not be ready.  For God does not look at what you did, what you look like or what you possess… He will be looking at your heart, and only one thing will He see…. are you ready?

DEVOTIONAL 51 “Your first love” – Rev 2:4

YOUR FIRST LOVE

Rev 2:4 But I have this [one charge to make] against you: that you have left (abandoned) the love that you had at first [you have deserted Me, your first love].

In this chapter of the book of Revelations where John was writing from the Island of Patmos (a volcanic Island) what the Angel told him to write; and one of the messages to the church of Ephesus was that they have lost their first Love, who is Jesus Christ. John gives them this reminder that they should return to their first Love.

Today i want to ask you the question: who is your first love?  Is it your husband or wife, or your children?  Is it the money in the bank or the nice house you have?  Is it your friends and family?  Is it the Business you started from scratch or maybe something else you hold dear?

If Jesus Christ is not your first love then you have already deviated from the path of a believer’s walk.  I would ask you to pray and ask the Lord to draw you closer to Him again.  Pray that He gives you a desire to study His Word; pray that He gives you a desire to pray again in Jesus Name.  May you realize that there is nothing in this world you can do without Jesus, your first Love!

DEVOTIONAL 50 “All things are yours” – 1 Cor 3:18-21

Read 1 Cor 3:18-23.

In these scriptures we are taught that if we think we are wise, we are actually foolish, and the foolish ones are sometimes the wisest of all. God does not look at how wise you are before He will use you; He looks at humbleness of the heart.

As children of God we should remember that everything God has done in the Universe and in the global church of Christ… it all belongs to you!  The moment you said YES to Jesus, you received with the gift of salvation also healing; deliverance; providence; blessings…. good things – pressed down, shaken together, running over!

God has given everything to us… all that we should need. Yet sometimes we come into a moment of vanity and pride and we boast about things we have done!  Listen, listen, listen, you did not do anything by yourself.  All things you have done was by the Grace of God.  The glory belongs to God.  Therefore there is no need for boasting about things we have done neither should there be any competition-spirits operating in children of God living in the Kingdom.  The Kingdom of God is not a competition – everyone runs his/her race with patient endurance and perseverance realizing that without God we are nothing!

As you go about your business today be reminded of the fact that all things you might need is Yours – this is God’s promise to you.  So live in the boldness knowing that God is Your Provider and thank Him for everything you have and receive in Jesus Name.

DEVOTIONAL 49 “God sees you” – Gal 1:1

In Gal 1:1 we see that Paul writes to the Galatians that nobody sent him to preach the good news of Jesus, but that he was raised from the spiritual walking dead to life, when he met Jesus on the way to Damascus.  He was riding his high horse of pride when Jesus appeared to him and Paul had his “Metanoia” experience (Salvation/conversion).

In v1 Paul mentions that although he was a murderer; Jesus called him for the service of the gospel of His Kingdom, and in this way Paul wants to encourage us, that if God could use Paul who was a murderer who tried to destroy the early church, and God seemed fit to still use him, then God can do the same for you. He is not a respecter of persons.

It doesn’t matter what you have done in your life – no matter how bad it was.  Jesus loves you and want to bless you, and use you for His Kingdom.  All you need to do is be available, humble, and love the Lord.  God can use you mightily for the glory of His Father’s Kingdom if you make yourself available to Him.  Make a good decision today, to forget what you have done, ask the Lord to forgive you and then say: Lord, here i am, Use me!  See what happens!  Godspeed.

DEVOTIONAL 48 “Fellowship in the good news” – Phil 1:4

Php 1:4 In every prayer of mine I always make my entreaty and petition for you all with joy (delight). Php 1:5 [I thank my God] for your fellowship (your sympathetic cooperation and contributions and partnership) in advancing the good news (the Gospel) from the first day [you heard it] until now.

What i love about these scripture above is that Paul says he and Timothy always make entreaty and petition for the other saints, and they do so with joy!  Just as they did, we should also be praying for everyone we know everyday, with a joy in our hearts!  Paul says he is grateful for the fellowship… and then he explains what fellowship is = it is sympathetic co-operation in the labor for the Kingdom of God; it is contributions in food, clothing and money…  fellowship is also a partnership with other saints; and to assist in advancement of the Kingdom of God.  When you do all these things; you are in fellowship with other saints.

It is very important to go to church when there are services, the bible gives us more than 56 scriptures telling us why it is important to be in fellowship at the congregation when their are services.  When you are a partaker, and you give contributions when and where you can; and also have sympathy for those in need, and therefore helping (co-operating) then you are a partaker of the divine riches in Christ. What an amazing promise from God. You therefore see it is important to go to church and be with other believers in fellowship.

DEVOTIONAL 47 “Believers first, then Achievers” – John 6:29

Believers first, then Achievers – this is who we are supposed to be.  We must first BELIEVE and then ACHIEVE.  If we put all of our faith in Him to help us, He will make sure that whatever we are trying to do, will come and will be successful.

Look at this scripture in Joh 6:29 Jesus replied, This is the work (service) that God asks of you: that you believe in the One Whom He has sent [that you cleave to, trust, rely on, and have faith in His Messenger].

When you start living this BELIEVING LIFE (having faith in God) then things fall into place.  The way we will achieve our goal is to first BELIEVE that it will come.  When faith is there, the works will follow.  And even thought he word says: Faith without works is dead, we have to understand you cannot do the works without faith.  So first believe, and then work to achieve and it will be done in Jesus Name.  It is then that we will become Achievers. (Rom 8:37).

DEVOTIONAL 46 “The Hope that comes (to you)” – Col 1:5-6

Col 1:5 Because of the hope [of experiencing what is] laid up (reserved and waiting) for you in heaven. Of this [hope] you heard in the past in the message of the truth of the Gospel …

Col 1:5-6 is extremely important for children of God.  In V5 Paul tells us that we can experience the HOPE which was laid up for us… actually RESERVED for us.  In other words God has already planned for you to have everything you need when you live in the Kingdom of God, this is why you should have much hope to experience all these gifts which you read about in this message of Gods gospel – His Bible.  If you study His word you will see all the beautiful promises He has laid up for you.

In V6 Paul continue to bless us with an amazing revelation….WHICH HAS COME TO YOU, INDEED…. in other words, whatever you hope for in Christ, God has already made it available for you. Whatever your hope might be in any situation, God has already reserved the outcome for you.  What an amazing God we serve!  He continue to tell us what we came to know: The grace (undeserved favor) of God in reality, deeply and clearly, and thoroughly; becoming accurately and intimately acquainted with Him. What an awesome God – we can understand Him completely because He gives us hope for the future. Realize today – whatever you HOPE for, He has already provided it for you!

DEVOTIONAL 45 “Holy Spirit Gifts – Acts 10:44-45

Act 10:44 While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell on all who were listening to the message. Act 10:45 And the believers from among the circumcised [the Jews] who came with Peter were surprised and amazed, because the free gift of the Holy Spirit had been bestowed and poured out largely even on the Gentiles.

Personally i love this above scripture as a promise from God that if we listen to His message, He will allow His Holy Spirit to fall on us.  It is not something we have to work for; neither do we have to pay for it; also we do not have to make any promises to received it from God – He gives this gift freely.  And for those that didn’t know, you receive this gift, this beautiful promise from god, when you say “Yes” to Jesus.

What is more, is that this free gift of the Holy Spirit is also for sinners.  Whether we want to admit it or not, sometimes as children of God we still make mistakes, but God loves us affectionately and He gives us this free gift of His Spirit.  When you say “Yes”  then you are baptized with His Holy Spirit.  So repentance brings this gift to you and now you can live a life in the Kingdom realizing that you are walking around and living with the Holy Spirit inside of you! How amazing is that!  That is how great His mercy is! what a good God we serve!

DEVOTIONAL 44 “Pursue Righteousness” – 1 Pet 2:24

1 Pet 2:24 He personally bore our sins in His [own] body on the tree [as on an altar and offered Himself on it], that we might die (cease to exist) to sin and live to righteousness. By His wounds you have been healed.

The above scripture makes me think about the way in which we live.  And granted, i do believe that we are not always doing what we should and visa versa. Many times we know not to do things, but we still do them… to our own predicament sometimes.   But this scripture tells us that God is a faithful God because He promises that we have been healed through His blood.

Now the Healing He is talking about here is not just in your physical body; it is also in your soul, your spirit and your mind.  But even more than that we need to look at the first part of this scripture, that says: He bore our sins in His own body and offered Himself, SO THAT sin might cease to exist in us and therefore we can live in righteousness.

So if i understand this scripture correctly, he did not just die to give us salvation, healing, deliverance, etc. He also died to give us righteousness.  Because He suffered on the cross He paid for our sins.  Now we have no sin anymore – it has been taken away from us.  In other words, we are now righteous before the Lord and because we are righteous we are HEALED (in spirit, body, soul, and our understanding).

The righteousness which He has given us is because we said “YES” to Jesus.  We should really celebrate this gift everyday.  May i be so bold today as to ask you to pursue righteousness (and everything else will fall into place in your life)!

DEVOTIONAL 43 “Absolute trust in God” – Col 1:4

When i start reading the beginning of the book Colossians i see that Paul was a special messenger of Christ according to Gods will and he writes to the saints of God (consecrated people); and the faithful believing brothers of faith.  I especially love the way in which he starts his letter: Grace (spiritual favor and blessing and heart-peace to you from God.  But what touches me more is V4 which talks the faith we have in Christ.

Col 1:4 For we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus [the leaning of your entire human personality on Him in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness] and of the love which you [have and show] for all the saints (God’s consecrated ones),

This verse says that we should have absolute trust in God in our entire human personality through trust and confidence on a  few things.  They are: God’s power and abilities; God’s wisdom and His knowledge; His goodness.  This to me is an open invitation from the Lord to say:  Whatever you need, I have it available for you. Isn’t that just filled with the Love of God the father for us.

What is it that you need today in your situation: His power … it is available.  His capabilities…. it is available.  His strength – He has given it to you.  His knowledge… you have it if you realize you have the mind of Christ.  What do you need from Him today? He has made it available.  Trust Him with all you exist of and see Him change your life for the better.  God is faithful. Trust Him!

DEVOTIONAL 42 “God’s Honor – Mal 1:6

Mal 1:6 This is what Yahweh Tsebaoth says: A son honors his Father; and a servant honors his master. So if I am a Father, where is my honor?

Sometimes as children of God we forget to honor God in the little everyday things that we do.  We sometimes accept most things as being part of our lives without thinking where it comes from or why it is part of our lives.  We should always remember that whatever you say, or do should give glory and honor to God.  We might think that because we suffered for nine months to carry a child and went through painful child-birth that he or she belongs to us – but this is not true.  God gives us the grace to receive these children and we should forever be thankful to Him and give Him the honor because of the lovely children we have. God looks even at the little things that we think might not be important.  But His heart is open to receive the honor that should be given to Him.

When is the last time you did something and said: All honor and glory to God in what i do today.... makes you think, doesn’t it?

We should always remember, like when we worship, we should also honor God when we pay our bills, and honor God when we swim; when we drive the car; when we have a Barbeque with people … even when we buy food; when we mow the lawn; when we participate in sport; when we bake a cake… no matter what we do… do it as if you are doing it for God – for His glory and for His honor.  And see how much He blesses you. Because to those who honors Him in everything they do, He promises to lift them up and bless them even more…!

C’on – give Him the honor that He deserves today…! Shalom

DEVOTIONAL 41 “I will rejoice” – Psa 63:2

In Psalm 63 David wrote a few scriptures that shows his love he had for the Lord. When i read this, i am almost “jealous” to realize how much love David had for God.  But instead of being jealous, it makes me zealous to grow deeper to have more love for God. Look at this amazing Psalm.

Psa 63:2 So I have looked upon You in the sanctuary to see Your power and Your glory.  Psa 63:3 Because Your loving-kindness is better than life, my lips shall praise You. Psa 63:4 So will I bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name. Psa 63:5 My whole being shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise You with joyful lips. Psa 63:6 When I remember You upon my bed and meditate on You in the night watches. Psa 63:7 For You have been my help, and in the shadow of Your wings will I rejoice. Psa 63:8 My whole being follows hard after You and clings closely to You; Your right hand upholds me.

David says he sees the power and glory of God and he notices the loving-kindness of God and then he proclaims that he will  praise God with his lips; he will bless God; he will lift up his hands to the Name of Jesus.  Then he continues to say that his whole BEING shall be satisfied and again his mouth shall praise God with joyful lips.  I wonder quietly, how many Christians can say also the same to the Lord everyday?  Do you wake up in the morning and say to the Lord, “my lips will praise you; i am satisfied with Your loving-kindness Lord; OR I will bless You while i live….”  Do we really praise God in the deep sense as what i see David did here?  David proclaims boldly that the Lord is his help and that he will rejoice in the shadow of Gods wings.  Again he says, with his WHOLE BEING (body, spirit and soul) he follows after God and clings closely to Him.  Also, David confesses that the right hand of God upholds him….  What an amazing proclamation of his Love for God… can you say the same today…?

DEVOTIONAL 40 “He makes the Clouds His Chariots” – Psa 104:3

 Psalm 104:3

Psa 104:3 Who lays the beams of the upper room of His abode in the waters [above the firmament], Who makes the clouds His chariot, Who walks on the wings of the wind,

To me this is one of the most beautiful Psalms in the Word of God because it explains so much about the Character of Jesus.  I want to encourage you today, to read this Psalm.  If you have an Amplified Bible read it first in there, and also the Message Bible is very beautiful.

This Psalm shares with us Who Jesus is… He makes the clouds His chariots.  It tells us that He is not just sitting in Heaven doing nothing, but that He is moving around to look after us.  Every time i look at up the heavens and see the clouds, i think of this Psalm, and then i look for evidence of His presence in the clouds.  And many times i find it because His spirit speaks to mine when i look up at His Creation… the clouds.

God is an amazing God.  Why don’t just just leave everything you are busy with for one minute, and walk outside, look up at the clouds and say: “Lord i believe your Word, You are riding on the clouds today, thank you for your presence”.

May you have a blessed day in His presence…

DEVOTIONAL 39 “God breathed Words” – 2 Tim 16-17

GOD BREATHED WORDS – 2 Tim 16-17

2Ti 3:16 Every Scripture is God-breathed (given by His inspiration) and profitable for instruction, for reproof and conviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience, [and] for training in righteousness (in holy living, in conformity to God’s will in thought, purpose, and action), 2Ti 3:17 So that the man of God may be complete and proficient, well fitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Personally i believe the above two scriptures to be two of the most beautiful scriptures in the Word of God.  It tells us that everything which is written down in the bible (Gods Holy Word) is true and real and alive; and even more than that – it is given (spoken) or “breathed” by the amazing holy breath of God Almighty!

Think about this for a moment, how amazing is this Word, and yet, we treat it like “anyhow”.  In these two verses God gives us guidance as to what the Word of God is for – it is there to teach you… so why won’t we study His Word? It is there for conviction to help us walk the right road; it is there for discipline… need i say more?

May I be so bold as to invite you to submit under this Holy Ghost breathed Word everyday (to read and study) so that you can be blessed in Jesus Name. Shalom

DEVOTIONAL 38 “His power within you” – 1 Jn 3:9

1Jn 3:9 No one born (begotten) of God [deliberately, knowingly, and habitually] practices sin, for God’s nature abides in him [His principle of life, the divine sperm, remains permanently within him]; and he cannot practice sinning because he is born (begotten) of God. 1Jn 3:10 By this it is made clear who take their nature from God and are His children and who take their nature from the devil and are his children…

To me one of the most amazing scriptures in Gods Word is the above one – it is beyond my understanding why children of God cannot accept this scripture as truth and start believing it!  If you really look at the explanation of this scripture it actually means that the seed of Jesus is planted within us by God the Father who gives us the gift of His Son.  Then the seed of Jesus grows inside of us if we water it with the Holy Spirit.  Which means that the moment you say “yes” to accepting Jesus as your Lord as Savior, His seed in you start growing, and you become like Him.  You receive the mind of Christ; you receive His power, His abilities, His skills, His strength, His abilities… everything He has, is now yours and living inside of you…. and yet, still there is people who do not understand with what power they are walking around within in…!  It blows my mind!

The great God that we serve chose us, so that His Son could be manifest through our lives… how amazing is that!  Get up today from what is bringing you down and understand WHO is living inside you!  With Him you are already a winning team – Rom 8:37

DEVOTIONAL 37 “Gifts from God” – Acts 2:38

Act 2:38 And Peter answered them, Repent (change your views and purpose to accept the will of God in your inner selves instead of rejecting it) and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of and release from your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Act 2:39 For the promise [of the Holy Spirit] is to and for you and your children, and to and for all that are far away, [even] to and for as many as the Lord our God invites and bids to come to Himself.

The above scripture says much more than what it seems when you read it.  Peter said to them that they (and we) should change our views and purpose to accept the will of God.  So your purpose in life is to accept Gods will.  Many times i have heard people say:  What is the purpose of my life?  Well, there is your answer straight from the Word of God. If you accept Gods will for your life, (in Jesus Name for forgiveness / repentance) then you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit. This is a gift that God gives you if you accept His will for your life; and there are seven attributes to this gift: Wisdom, Understanding, Right Judgement, Courage, Knowledge, Piety and Fear of God (Reverence).

It is such an amazing promise from God.  What is more, is that if you receive the Holy Spirit; the gift is for you and your children… isn’t God an amazing deliverer of His promises.  May you realize what an amazing gift (Holy Spirit) God has given you today. Give Him some praise!

DEVOTIONAL 36 “Good works in You” – Php 1:6

Php 1:6 And I am convinced and sure of this very thing, that He Who began a good work in you will continue until the day of Jesus Christ [right up to the time of His return], developing [that good work] and perfecting and bringing it to full completion in you.

This scripture led me to believe that Paul was convinced because he had a good look and saw the Lord did a good thing in his life; and therefore he (Paul) can boldly proclaim that Jesus will also do a good work in us. Remember, God is not a respecter of persons. What He did for one, He will do for the other also.

The promise is that Jesus will continue to do good works in us until He returns!  Not only is He doing a good work in us; but He is also developing and perfecting them according to His Kingdom so that the works that are operating in you will come to full completion. I can only say this to you – what an amazing God we serve.  He Who helps you to fulfill His calling and purpose for your life, by doing good works in you, is doing it so that others in the world can see and praise the Lord for you!

DEVOTIONAL 35 “Jesus hears your prayers” – Psa 34

by Prophetic Teacher Nomsa

Life is strange in a way and sometimes no matter how good things are going, people can still feel hurt or rejected.  You can stand in a room full of people and still be alone. You can have all the money in the world and still be negative or depressed.  But i have good news for you, God’s Word will always uplift you.  Let us have a look at one of the most encouraging Psalms in the Bible of God’s Word – Psalm 34.  And i want to encourage you to read this Psalm in the message Bible. If you are feeling a little “down” today, remember the following scriptures and read them a few times over and over.   By later this afternoon I guarantee you will feel spiritually uplifted.

Psa 34:6 This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.

Psa 34:8 O taste and see that the Lord [our God] is good! Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man who trusts and takes refuge in Him.

Psa 34:15 The eyes of the Lord are toward the [uncompromisingly] righteous and His ears are open to their cry.

How great is the Father’s love for us. That when we cry, He hear’s us.  When we call, He deliver’s us; When we trust in Him, He save us.  All you need in Life is faith in Jesus to succeed; to triumph; to conquer; to get through it… it is the Name of Jesus that will bring you through your situation!  Trust in Him, He hears you….  and because He loves you; He will obey and do what you ask of Him.

He is faithful! Put your trust in His Word and you will find that your loneliness disappear; your strength will come back; rejection will not hurt anymore; and your faith will grow… just keep trusting the Lord and His Word in Psalm 34.

DEVOTIONAL 34 “The Old has passed” – Phil 3:13

by Prophetic Teacher Nomsa

Php 3:13 I do not consider, brethren, that I have captured and made it my own [yet]; but one thing I do [it is my one aspiration]: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead…

At the beginning of this new Year 2019 it is very important that we leave old things behind. I am talking about things that was not in line with God’s Word but was part of our lives in 2018. It is never easy to get rid of things that has formed part of our character for many years. It is always difficult to lay it down and say: “I’m starting fresh and new”.

In the beginning of every new Year this is one of the very best things we can do. Forget those things of last year that bothered you; get rid of old fued’s; say goodbye to old habits; throw away every hinderance that would keep you from entering into the Kingdom of God in 2019.

Paul wrote that he has made it his own, this one thing, that he forget’s what is behind; and he strains himself forward to what is coming in this next year. My wish for you is also the same for 2019. Let us start fresh and new…

DEVOTIONAL 33 “Shine for Jesus” – Isa 60:1

Isa 60:1 ARISE [from the depression and prostration in which circumstances have kept you–rise to a new life]! Shine (be radiant with the glory of the Lord), for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you! [Zech. 8:23.]

I absolutely love these few first verses in the book of Isaiah 60.  It tells us that the light of Jesus will shine on us and also in us and people will come to our light.  What more do we want as believers?…. I think every true believer out there would love to receive a word like this from the Lord. When people come to you because of His light in you; and you know you can help them with the holy Spirit as your guide; then life seems more valuable.  Who wouldn’t want to be used by God to help others?

God’s word keep reminding us all the time to let our light shine for others; and to be their light, until they themselves get into the place where they receive His light.  Then they too, will be a beacon for others who are int he dark.  The Light of Jesus is amazing and when you know He lives in you; there is nothing more precious in life.  It is an amazing up-lliftment to those who are wondering if God still see them and is still with them. May you shine for Jesus as you see the people come to His glory!

DEVOTIONAL 32 “God’s right hand will retain you” – Isa 41:10-11

Isa 41:10 Fear not [there is nothing to fear], for I am with you; do not look around you in terror and be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen and harden you to difficulties, yes, I will help you; yes, I will hold you up and retain you with My [victorious] right hand of rightness and justice. [Acts 18:10.]
Isa 41:11 Behold, all they who are enraged and inflamed against you shall be put to shame and confounded; they who strive against you shall be as nothing and shall perish.

Let us look at the meaning of this scripture for a moment: The word RETAIN means: recall, recollect, remember, preserve, maintain, keep in mind, hold you and keep you….

Well, that is just a mouth-full.  God is really looking after us! Be encouraged today, God is not mocked.  He is your Father and He promised to look after you wherever you go and whatever you do.  He is not a man that He should lie.  He promised to keep you safe from the enemy who is trying to destroy you (Joh 10:10) – Don’t look around because God is looking at you.  Don’t have any fear or doubt.  He is a faithful God and He cares for you; He will bring you out of that situation (1 Cor 10:13).

DEVOTIONAL 31 “No place for Judgement” – Rom 2:1

The Word of God says that we should not judge other people for things that they do.  To begin with you don’t know what those people are going through.  Most time people do things to others because they themselves are hurting.

Rom 2:1 Therefor you have no excuse or defense or justification, O man, whoever you are who judges and condemns another. For in posing as judge and passing sentence on another, you condemn yourself, because you who judge are habitually practicing the very same things [that you censure and denounce].

If we read the above scripture it is clear that God says: when we judge others, it is because we ourselves do the things they do.  You might never admit it, but let it sink in for a moment, then go somewhere quiet and think about it.  We make excuses for our bad behaviors, but when we see another person doing the same thing, we become judgmental and without love or compassion – there is no mercy!

Let me remind you that any judgmental thoughts come from a negative mind – if you judge, it means you are not positive, but walk around with negative depressing thoughts against others.  I want to encourage you today to become positive and not to be negative towards other people.  God is faithful, and if you pray and ask Him to help you to become more positive, He will do it for you.

May you have a blessed, positive week. Shalom

DEVOTIONAL 30 “Welfare, Peace and Hope” – Jer 29:11

Jer 29:11 For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.

Our enemy (satan and his devilish agents) WILL NOT triumph over us. Our situations are tests to mature us.  My question to you today is this: WHAT ARE YOUR CHALLENGES? What is your situation? WHAT IS THAT THING YOU ARE STRUGGLING WITH AT THIS MOMENT?

Whatever the situation that you are facing today; don’t allow them to control you!  If you allow them to control you, you are giving them permission to dominate you. When your situation controls you; you will lose sense of reasoning and discernment. You can never allow the devil to take a hold over you or do dominate you.

Don’t allow hardships in life to control you.  What is your hardship right now…is it money, is it health, is it poverty, is it loss of a loved one; is it depression or even  rejection? Many people go through things in life and they do not even realize that others are battling with the same problem.  But when we start praying for each other, then we agree together, God is able to help us.

Stay in faith, and stay with Jesus.  He will see you through your hardship. And don’t forget to encourage each other.

DEVOTIONAL 29 “Opportunities” – 2 Cor 4:1

2 Cor 4:1 THEREFORE, SINCE we do hold and engage in this ministry by the mercy of God [granting us favor, benefits, opportunities, and especially salvation], we do not get discouraged (spiritless and despondent with fear) or become faint with weariness and exhaustion.

What an amazing scripture this is.  You can read this scripture over and over and over… until it sink in to your heart and your mind and your understanding.  in this amazing scripture God is saying that we already have all the favor from Him; we have benefits; and salvation, and also Opportunities that will arise for us.

What is more also, is that God says we will not get discouraged (or spirit-less) or even desponded with fear!.  What a good word.  let us have a look at this word “Desponded”.  The meaning of the word is: disheartened, discourageddispiriteddownheartedlow-spirited, in low spirits, hopelessdowncast, cast down, crestfallendownlowdisconsolate, in despair, despairingwretchedoppressed…  now look at the scripture again.  He said we will not feel like any of these word-meanings.

Why don’t you take this verse for this week and make it your own.  it will really bless you when you start quoting this scripture to yourself every day!  Shalom.

DEVOTIONAL 28 “Who is your First Love?” – Matt 10:38

From the time we are converted into Christianity we are being told that we love the Lord, but that He first loved us.  He loved us so much that He gave His only Son Jesus to die for us on a cross. He went through humiliation, pain, suffering, and rejection and so much more; more than what we will ever be able to endure.  And He did it obediently unto death because He loved us.  He went to the Cross because He loved us…

Who do you love the most today in your life? Is it your children or maybe your spouse?  Is it your job or your money?  Is it the addiction you have or a friend that drinks with you?  The Bible teaches that our love for God must be more than what it can ever be for anyone in this world we live in!   Your purpose in life must be according to God’s will – in this manner you prove to Him that you love Him more than your own life.  Ask the Lord to be able to pick up your cross and follow Him daily, because as the Bible says, this is important for you to do in proving your love for Him:

Mat 10:38 And he who does not take up his cross and follow Me [cleave steadfastly to Me, conforming wholly to My example in living and, if need be, in dying also] is not worthy of Me.

If you cannot take up your cross – it is impossible to to His will.  If you don’t do His will for your life, He cannot be pleased with you…. is He pleased with you today?

DEVOTIONAL 27 “Patience is a virtue” – Jas 5:7

Jas 5:7 So be patient, brethren, [as you wait] till the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits expectantly for the precious harvest from the land. [See how] he keeps up his patient [vigil] over it until it receives the early and late rains.

Patience is a real virtue given to us from God,  It is not just the ability to wait for something but it means also that we have to keep a good attitude while we are waiting, even if it takes long.

The above scripture does not say that you have to be patient if you wait; but it clearly says to be patient “as you wait” for the thing to manifest in your life.  Whether it is a registration for a new business; your day of engagement or marriage; your new born baby that you are waiting for; your child to leave school… whatever you are waiting for – be calm while waiting.

Most people do not have patience…. it is a fact… and yet we spend more time waiting for things that actually receiving things, so why not do the best you can with the time that you are waiting.  Be patient, be calm, be full of joy and have peace…. remember, God can help you to have great patience.

DEVOTIONAL 26 “Heart peace to you” – Phil 1:1-2

At the beginning of chapter One of Philippians i read the following: Paul and Timothy, bond-servants of Christ – Phi 1:1-2.  It always makes me think that every believer should understand that we are all bond-servants of the faith in Jesus for the sake of His Kingdom.  We are here to be a part of what He is doing – we truly are God’s consecrated people… the bible tells us that over and over!  When are Christians going to get it?

I also love Paul’s greetings at the beginning of most of his letters: Grace (favor and blessing) to you and HEART-PEACE from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah).  Heart-peace is a different kind of peace. It’s not a normal kind of peace; it is a higher level of peace straight from the Throne-room of God.  Your heart is your spirit, and if your spirit are submitted under the Holy Spirit of God living inside of you, then you have His heart-peace in you…. what an amazing revelation and blessing from brother Paul, to greet believers in this manner.  And of course this greeting is also for us today!  God has given us heart-peace from his Holy Spirit!  Awesome God! May you be blessed as you enter your day with heart-peace and may the presence of the Holy Spirit be with you today.

DEVOTIONAL 25 “New Covenant” – Hebr 8:13

The Old Covenant of the Bible is finished and have been fulfilled with the coming of Jesus and His sacrifice; therefore the Old Covenant was replaced with a better, new awesome Covenant.  Have a look at Heb 8:13.

Heb 8:13 When God speaks of a new [covenant or agreement], He makes the first one obsolete (out of use). And what is obsolete (out of use and annulled because of age) is ripe for disappearance and to be dispensed with altogether.

The better, new Covenant of God is now written in our hearts and not on cold stone tables as it were in the Old Testament.  In the Old Testament we lived under Gods law that told us what He wanted us to do.  But now we are living under the amazing grace from God which enables us to do the things He wants us to do because He gave us the ability, strength and wisdom to do it.  With Jesus living inside us, we can do ALL things (Phil 4:13).

This new grace of God gives us life in abundance; and grace is the power of the Holy Spirit which helps us to do whatever God wants us to do through faith in Jesus.  We are saved by grace; and live by grace.  No longer we that live, but Christ that lives through us.  What an amazing new Covenant of Life He has given us!

DEVOTION 32 “Holy Spirit Words” – 1 Cor 2:1-5

Today i want to start by asking you a question: How do you speak to other people and especially the children of God?  Do you speak anyhow? or do you count your words before you blabber them out?

The Word of God warns us not to just speak like we want to; and to try not offend anybody with what we say.  Brother Paul teaches us that he did not come to speak with wisdom trying to proof his knowledge; neither did he resolve to know nothing more than Jesus crucified.  Paul realized where his strength came from – it came from the sacrifice his Lord had done on the cross.

Paul realized that to speak you have to be under the influence of the Holy Spirit of God.  If you ask the Holy Spirit to speak on your behalf, He will do so and you will act in the right way and what is more, you will say the right things.

Look at this scripture: 1 Cor  2:5 So that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men (human philosophy), but in the power of God.  God’s power is what helps us to talk right and with respect to other people.

As long as you can remember you cannot do anything without the Holy Spirit, and you cannot speak without the Holy Spirit to witness to God, you are still on the right track.  Now go, in the power of God, and teach the Kingdom of God!

DEVOTION 31 “Holiness” – 1 Cor 1:2

1 Cor 1:2 To the church (assembly) of God … to those consecrated and purified and made holy in Christ Jesus, [who are] selected and called to be saints (God’s people)…

If you said Yes to Jesus then you are a child of God and you have received salvation, healing, deliverance and other blessings that God has promised (Eph 1:3).  You have also been made righteous before God. But with all these gifts you have also received a Holiness from God the Father.  The above scriptures tells us that we are consecrated and purified… and also MADE HOLY in Jesus because we are the called saints of the Kingdom of God.

This Holiness that we have received does not come because we are good or do works… this Holiness is received because of our position in Jesus in the Kingdom.  Because of the sacrifice Jesus gave, His death on the cross – this is what brought you Holiness.  He paid the price for you to receive Holiness.

We also need to understand that this does not mean we are now perfect, but in everyday life we need to make small changes of sanctification that will help us be a better person everyday.  (Read Hebr 10:14).

DEVOTION 30 – The Secret Place

King David is one of many people in the Bible times that understood the “secret place” of the most high God… the secret place of our God… many people want to live there, but many don’t ever find the true “way” to get there. As we can see King David wrote a few times about the Secret place of God in which he can run to when things are hard to overcome, for God promises David that He will keep him safe in the shelter of His hiding place.

Let us look at a few scriptures from David in the Psalms, that describes the “Secret Place” in the way David experienced it.

Psa 27:5 For in the day of trouble He will hide me in His shelter; in the secret place of His tent will He hide me; He will set me high upon a rock.
Psa 31:20 In the secret place of Your presence You hide them from the plots of men; You keep them secretly in Your pavilion from the strife of tongues.
Psa 81:7 You called in distress and I delivered you; I answered you in the secret place of thunder; I tested you at the waters of Meribah. Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]! [Num. 20:3, 13, 24.]
Psa 91:1 HE WHO dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty [Whose power no foe can withstand].
Psa 91:8 Only a spectator shall you be [yourself inaccessible in the secret place of the Most High] as you witness the reward of the wicked.
Son 2:14 [So I went with him, and when we were climbing the rocky steps up the hillside, my beloved shepherd said to me] O my dove, [while you are here] in the seclusion of the clefts in the solid rock, in the sheltered and secret place of the cliff, let me see your face, let me hear your voice; for your voice is sweet, and your face is lovely. `

I want to encourage you today to get to the “Secret place” of God and to remain there once you found the shelter place where God looks after His children. There is truly just ONE WAY, and it is into the Kingdom of God when you can abide in the shadow of His wings in His Secret Place.

DEVOTION 29 “God of Hope” – Rom 15:13

Rom 15:13 May the God of your hope so fill you with all joy and peace in believing [through the experience of your faith] that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound and be overflowing (bubbling over) with hope.

This is such an amazing scripture which can change a believer’s life for good.  This scripture teaches us that God is our GOD OF HOPE.

I don’t know about you, but when i read that, it make me want to jump for joy.  This tells me that whatever comes to our way as Christians, God is the One Who will see us through any situation because He gives us Hope.  And today i can verify that this is so true because God helps us in any situation.  Last night there was a hopeless situation, but today the Lord cam through for me – He is ever faithful!  He truly is the God of Hope.

You must make a choice today to be Hopeful – make the choice to believe in the God of Hope, and He will see you through any situation.  Fight the good fight of faith while trusting in your God of Hope to give you the way and the means out of the circumstances – 1 Cor 10:13.

DEVOTION 28 “Take care of your thoughts” – Phil 4:8

Php 4:8 For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of these things [fix your minds on them].

Who is true = Jesus; Who is worthy of reverence = Jesus; Who is to be honored = God the Father; What is just = The Holy Spirit;  What is pure = the Kingdom of God; What is lovely and lovable – the bodily Godhead; Who is kind, winsome and gracious or have virtue and is full of excellence = …. all JESUS.

ALL this scripture says:… if there is anything worthy of praise, think on it, and weigh and take account of this; in other words fix your mind on these things. So basically you should be thinking about Jesus and His Kingdom all the time because nothing in life is more pure and beautiful than Jesus.  And to be honest, isn’t it better to think of good things to come, than bad things that are weighing you down all the time?  Isn’t it better to hope on Jesus than to think about a bad past that hurt you?  So keep your thoughts on these positive good things about the Kingdom of God, then your thought pattern will change and you will wake up every morning feeling blessed.

Think about good things before you go over into actions, then your life will reflect the beautiful character of God.

DEVOTION 27 “The Love of Jesus” – Eph 3:19

Eph 3:19 [That you may really come] to know [practically, through experience for yourselves] the love of Christ,…

Personally one of my favorite scriptures because it reminds me so much about how much Jesus loves us.  Even though the Father sent His Son Jesus to die for us on the cross; it was also Jesus Who went obediently to the cross to die for each one of us.  Even you, yes!  He loves you so much that He decided to die on your behalf.

If you really want to get to know Jesus you must learn to deal with Him practically.  I have come into the habit of inviting Him everywhere in my life.  Why don’t  you do the same. Invite Him to join you when you go to the groceries store…. see how many “special offers” you get.  Invite Him to the shoe-store and suddenly that expensive pair of boots for R600- is now on sale for R320-.  Invite Him to do the dishes with you, and you will spend only half the time doing it, so that you can have extra quality time with your family.  He want to be a part of your life!

Jesus wants you to know Him practically in every aspect of your life so that you can realize the immense love He has for you!

DEVOTION 26 “God’s unmerited favor” – Php 1:7

Php 1:7 It is right and appropriate for me to have this confidence and feel this way about you all, because you have me in your heart and I hold you in my heart as partakers and sharers, one and all with me, of grace (God’s unmerited favor and spiritual blessing). [This is true] both when I am shut up in prison and when I am out in the defense and confirmation of the good news (the Gospel).

Paul confirms the unmerited favor of God upon our lives in this scripture.  The grace of God…. there is nothing in the world that comes close to the mercy and grace of God.  It is so much and it is unconditional! For this reason Paul is thinking about other saints and praying for them, and we should do the same.  For if we do, then we are divine partakers and sharers of this Grace of God, and also of spiritual blessings.

Paul says even if he is in prison, he still receives grace and favor from God; and while he is busy defending the gospel of Jesus through teaching – he still receives grace from God.  And when he confirms this amazing gospel with wonders, signs and spiritual uplifting messages – he is still under the grace of God.  And therefore we know that we can boldly proclaim with Paul – we are living under grace from God everyday because we are partakers and sharers in this pure unmerited favor…!

God’s amazing grace… favor in abundance!

DEVOTION 25 “The Power of Prayer – Psa 104:3

DEVOTION – The power of Prayer

Mat 7:7 Keep on asking and it will be given you; keep on seeking and you will find; keep on knocking [reverently] and [the door] will be opened to you. Mat 7:8 For everyone who keeps on asking receives; and he who keeps on seeking finds; and to him who keeps on knocking, [the door] will be opened.

Many people love to quote the above scripture for encouragement of others and many preachers have used this scripture before as a message to help you understand that if you need something from God, all you need do is ask.  But there is much more to this scripture.  It doesn’t help if you keep on asking without faith.  Then nothing will happen.  You need to believe that what you are asking for, will be given to you, and then whatever you pray for, will come to pass for you.

God is not a man that He should lie… now read this scripture again… with faith in mind.  V8 Everyone WHO KEEPS ON ASKING RECEIVES; AND WHO KEEPS ON SEEKING FINDS, AND WHO KEEPS KNOCKING, TO HIM IT WILL BE OPENED…. now, say Thank You Lord for answering my prayer today. Lord this is my need….

(Pray your prayer) in Jesus Name by Faith and it will be done for you!

DEVOTIONAL 24 “God hears your voice” – Jon 2:2

Jon 2:2 And said, I cried out of my distress to the Lord, and He heard me; out of the belly of Sheol cried I, and You heard my voice.

Many times in our lives we feel like God does not hear us when we pray.  But i want to encourage you today and tell you that He hears every word you say, every thought you think and every idea you have in your head.  God is our helper and He will never leave you nor abandon you in your hour of need.  The Word promises that when you cry out to

Him, he will definitely answer you and help you.  he will save you, heal you, deliver you, and set you free in Jesus Name.

Jonah cried out to the Lord in his time of need and the Lord rescued him from the belly of the Sea-monster.  If God can do this for Jonah, imagine what He can do for you today, if you will just put your trust in Him.  There is nothing that God cannot do – He is a faithful God, and He is able to do the impossible.  Trust Him for your situation today, and see how He will deliver you.

DEVOTIONAL 23 “Faith in Jesus” – 1 Tim 1:16

(APOLOGIES:  On the Audio i said that brother Timothy wrote this verse, but this is incorrect as brother Paul wrote these letters. This was just a mistake – i realized it the moment i said it but didn’t have time to edit the audio. Apologies)

1 Tim 1:16 But I obtained mercy for the reason that in me, as the foremost [of sinners], Jesus Christ might show forth and display all His perfect long-suffering and patience for an example to [encourage] those who would thereafter believe on Him for [the gaining of] eternal life.

In the above scripture we notice that Paul (the writer) speaks about the sole condition for salvation that is to belief in Jesus Christ.  Having faith in Christ is all you need… adding any other condition to receive Salvation is to make us trusting ourselves; trusting our own abilities with works we are doing.  Works will not get you into the Kingdom of God.

What is also beautiful about this verse is that the writer tells us that he himself obtained mercy – and he also says he was one of the worst sinners…. but God gave him mercy, so that Jesus Christ might show His perfect long-suffering that He went through on our behalf.  Jesus also showed us how to endure and persevere through difficult times when he died on the cross.  Further more, He taught us how to have patience.

Christ died on the Cross of Calvary for you so that you can receive FREELY the salvation, healing, deliverance and other blessings that His Word promises, and all you need to do, is BELIEVE in Him.  Just Believe that He died for you personally.  Make this amazing thing your own, and realize what He did for you.

Then say:  Thank You Lord for blessing so much.  I believe! ….. Do you?

DEVOTIONAL 22 “You are blessed” – Matt 5:4

Mat 5:4 Blessed and enviably happy [with a happiness produced by the experience of God’s favor and especially conditioned by the revelation of His matchless grace] are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted!

The above scripture always lifts me up when i feel like crying about something; and i want to encourage you to do the same.  When you are down and feel like crying, please read this scripture.

It promises that if you mourn, God (the Holy Spirit) will comfort you; and not just that; but also that you are blessed when you cry.  It seems to me that He is almost saying that it is worth having something to cry about just so that He can bless you and comfort you.  Because let’s face it, there is no Comforter like the Holy Spirit.  With the Holy Spirit to lift you up everyday, what more do you need?

DEVOTIONAL 21 “Joy is your strength” – Col 1:11

Col 1:11 [We pray] that you may be invigorated and strengthened with all power according to the might of His glory, [to exercise] every kind of endurance and patience (perseverance and forbearance) with joy…

Many believers read the above scripture understanding that Paul says they are praying for them all to be invigorated and strengthened with all power … which is what it says.  But there is a very deep revelation regarding this scripture that most believers miss when they read the Word.

This word actually says the following:  If you go through trials, temptations, and hardship; you must exercise endurance and patience (perseverance and forbearance)… WITH JOY!  Yes, that’s right! Whatever you go through, keep your joy.  Do not allow the situation to bring you down because then you will loose your JOY.

And if you lose your joy, the peace will go too…. whatever circumstances are holding you down at the moment, trust in God who is your strength through the spirit of JOY that He has given you.  It is already in your character.  Now let it come forward… let your JOY see you through anything while you are being strengthened, waiting patiently for God to deliver you (1 Cor 10:13).

DEVOTIONAL 20 “Praying Always” – Mark 13:33

Mar 13:33 Be on your guard [constantly alert], and watch and pray; for you do not know when the time will come.

As children of God we should always try and spend every minute we have with God’s Word and in His presence; unfortunately in the lives most people are living here on earth this is not possible.  Only those that were truly called by God and understand what that means; will know what i am saying.  We should spend every minute in God’s Kingdom.

We should work diligently for promoting the Kingdom of God so that His Kingdom can expand here on earth.  It does not help us to sit and wait for something to happen, why don’t you go out yourself and make things happen.  Don’t just be a viewer but be a partaker of what is happening in the Kingdom of God.

God’s Promises is for those who work hard, and are diligently seeking to promote His Kingdom.  I pray you will be a world shaker and history maker and not just a viewer….

DEVOTIONAL 19 “Good days coming” – Jer 29:11

Yes, this is what the Lord declares over your life.  Have a look at the following scripture:

Jer 29:11 For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.  Jer 29:12 Then you will call upon Me, and you will come and pray to Me, and I will hear and heed you.

His plan for your life is welfare, peace, and not evil.  His plan is to give you hope and a good future.  God declares that you will have a good outcome.  Furthermore, He says that if you should call upon His Name, and come and pray to Him, then He will hear and heed you.  The word heed also means “obey”.

Isn’t this such an amazing blessing promise from God.  So i can only suggest today that you hear what He declares in His word over your life, and seek His face by deep intercession prayer.  Because He promises that He will hear and obey… so whatever you ask the Father, that will He do for you… what an amazing God we serve.  He always has our best interest at heart.

DEVOTIONAL 18 “Strength to overcome” – Act 4:33

Luk 10:19 Behold! I have given you authority and power to trample upon serpents and scorpions, and [physical and mental strength and ability] over all the power that the enemy [possesses]; and nothing shall in any way harm you.

Act 4:33 And with great strength and ability and power the apostles delivered their testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great grace (loving-kindness and favor and goodwill) rested richly upon them all.

What an amazing God we serve!  He is a great God who loves us so very much and He blesses us with so much strength to overcome issues in this life-time.  He gives us physical strength, and also mental strength and abilities to fight the good fight of faith.  Look at Luke 10:19 – how amazing is this God we serve?

In Acts 4 the Word declares that the Disciples delivered their testimony of Jesus Christ with great strength and power and abilities… it is these same abilities and strength He promised us in Luke 10:19 that the Disciples moved with in the Book of Acts.  They confidently relied and trusted in God to help them in every situation so that they will be able to help others.

Trust therefore on the Lord with all your heart, with all your might and with all your strength and see how He will open doors for you in Jesus Name. Amen

DEVOTIONAL 17 “Only Believe” – Rom 10:9

Rom 10:9 Because if you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe (adhere to, trust in, and rely on the truth) that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. Rom 10:10 For with the heart a person believes (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Christ) and so is justified (declared righteous, acceptable to God), and with the mouth he confesses (declares openly and speaks out freely his faith) and confirms [his] salvation.

One the most famous scriptures in God’s Word is Rom 10:9-10.  If you confess with your lips…. only there is another condition with the confession.  You also have to believe in your heart what you are saying.  You cannot say “Jesus is Lord” if you don’t believe it, because you speak from the Holy Spirit.  The Bible also teaches this.  So we know that if we confess and believe, we are saved!

And if you will believe with your heart and not with your mind; you are also justified before God.  This means that you are made righteous before God.  Now anytime someone is made righteous before God, they are acceptable to Him.  Isn’t that just awesome! God accepts you just because you believe in Him. You don’t have to do anything to receive His acceptance.  He takes you as a child just because you believe in His Son Jesus Christ!

DEVOTIONAL 16 “God is able” -2 Cor 9:8

2 Cor 9:8 And God is able to make all grace (every favor and earthly blessing) come to you in abundance, so that you may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need be self-sufficient [possessing enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation].

God is able to help you in any situation where you may find yourself in life.  It is mostly during those times when you think God is far away from you; when He is actually very near to you and keeping your interests at hand.  God is a good God and He wants you to be blessed and to be successful.  His vision for your life is always advancement. He is truly the great provider who will help you in every situation you may need help.

The above scripture show us also that God is a very generous giver and He wants us to be the same.  God does not want us to suffer any want, especially if we want to help others.  God will provide for you generously so that you can continue to share with the world His love, and His provision.

DEVOTIONAL 15 “Nothing shall harm you” – Isa 54:17

Isa 54:17 But no weapon that is formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall show to be in the wrong. This [peace, righteousness, security, triumph over opposition] is the heritage of the servants of the Lord [those in whom the ideal Servant of the Lord is reproduced]; this is the righteousness or the vindication which they obtain from Me [this is that which I impart to them as their justification], says the Lord.

The above scripture says that nothing shall harm you – the question is: Do you believe God’s Word?  Also when people speak bad against you, the Lord shall judge them.  This is very satisfying to know that God will fight on your behalf when people talk bad behind your back.  Furthermore, the scripture says that we shall have a peace because of this fact, and it is the heritage of the children of God. We have received a righteousness from God that was obtained from Jesus which was imparted to us.

How nice to know that we have received from God a promise that nothing shall harm us in any way!  Hold on to this promise from God!

DEVOTIONAL 14 “Casting cares upon Jesus” – 1 Pet 5:7

1 Pet 5:7 Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully. [Psa 55:22.]

The reason why so many pastors use this scripture so much in their messages is because they understand the value of what this scripture really mean to believers.  Not only is it saying that you can give all your worries, doubts, fears, etc. to Jesus and that He will take care of them; BUT it also gives a promise that you can do it ONCE AND FOR ALL.  Meaning you don’t ever have to doubt again; there is nothing that can bring fear as long as you are with Jesus because perfect love from Him casts out fear in your life.  It also means that you don’t have to worry about anything EVER again, because He will sort it out for you.

Yet we see children of God struggling daily with issues…. the question is – Do you really understand and BELIEVE this scripture.  Because if you do, you should not be in a difficult position that brings you down.  You will be happy, full of joy, excited, and relaxed knowing that Jesus will take care of you in this situation; such is His promise for you.  And what is more, He cares for you affectionately and therefore He watches over you, to get you out of your current misfortune.

Believe this scripture and REST in God. Relax! Cast all your cares upon Jesus, for He really cares for you.

DEVOTIONAL 13 – “A renewed mind” – Eph 4:23

The word of God teaches us that we should renew our minds every day.  And it should be renewed with positive things and not negative things.  The spirit in our minds should be renewed!  This will bring about a fresh mental and spiritual attitude towards life in general.  We will then be able to treat people in a decent manner and not allow our minds to bring people down.  If our spirit in our mind is activated positively and renewed, we will have the mind of Christ, and treat people as brothers and sisters; in the same manner as Jesus treated us.

Upliftment of the spirit of our minds is very necessary for us to help change our attitudes in life with regards to how we operate; work together; handle people; do our jobs; take part in sports; be involved in groups; treat our children and friends, family; and our creativity, etc…

Look at Eph 4:23 And be constantly renewed in the spirit of your mind [having a fresh mental and spiritual attitude], …

DEVOTIONAL 12 “God hears your prayers” – Psa 34:9

Psa 34:9 O fear the Lord, you His saints [revere and worship Him]! For there is no want to those who truly revere and worship Him with Godly fear.

Psalm 34 has always been one of my favorite Psalms since i studied it years ago.  The whole Psalm is full of many promises from God that He will help us when we cry to Him.

Listen to V4 – He heard me and delivered me from all my fears.  See V6 The Lord saved me out of all troubles.  Then there is V7 that promises deliverance; and then of course V15 which says that Gods eyes are on the righteous and His ears are open to our cry!

But my favorite remains V9 which promises that if we worship and revere God, then we shall have no lack or want.  And this verse is confirmed by Psa 23 The Lord is my shepherd, I SHALL NOT WANT!  Do you really believe this scripture?  See also V17 When we cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of their distress and troubles.  This seems easy, but many people don’t know how to cry to God because no-one has taught them how to call out to God.

Just say – “Lord, i need you”…. It is as easy as that!  May you experience the faithfulness of God as you call upon Him today.

DEVOTIONAL 11 “Love them anyway” – Gal 6:2

Gal 6:2 Bear (endure, carry) one another’s burdens and troublesome moral faults, and in this way fulfill and observe perfectly the law of Christ (the Messiah) and complete what is lacking [in your obedience to it].

Sometimes in life we meet those kind of people… you know, the ones we really just don’t like.  And it is difficult to spend time in the presence of those people because we don’t like them.  But because of friends or family, or even in a working environment, we have no choice but to be surrounded with these people and be in their presence.

The word of God teaches us in Gal 6:2 how to deal with these people.  You have an obligation towards Jesus (because you are a child of God); you need to learn how to get along with them.  And if it means that you will have to put up with the things they say and do; then so be it.  As a child of God, you need to sacrifice a little and let your own feelings go; but trust the Lord to give you the endurance to stay friendly and lovable while you work with them.  Help them with their “troublesome moral faults” by spiritually uplifting them in the right way. Do not go off at them when they do things wrong, but with love show them the right things to do and bless them; even pray for them; and forgive them!

This is the true gospel of Jesus Christ.  Whatever they say or do that irritate you and frustrate you – give it to God and love them anyway!

DEVOTIONAL 10 “Shake it off!” – Act 28:5

Act 28:5 Then [Paul simply] shook off the small creature into the fire and suffered no evil effects.

The above story is quite amazing is you know that snake-bytes are really dangerous for the people of the world; but for believers in Christ it should not be a problem.  God says that even if we drink the poison of snakes and scorpions it will do nothing to us. We notice that Paul simply shook off the snake, and continued along doing what he was busy with.  Others kept watching him if he would die, but of course, he didn’t.  We should handle problems in today’s life, in exactly the same way.  Just shake it off and continue!

Shake off what is holding you back from the past! Shake off what is trying to break you down! Shake off that relationship that is draining you more than what it is giving you peace! Shake off that financial burden that is emptying your pockets every month! Shake it off!

God has planned a great future for you – His purpose and plan for you life is in abundance and not with worries, doubt, fear, calamities or remorse and rejection, pain and suffering… NO! His plan for you is ABUNDANCE of BLESSINGS, SO MUCH THAT YOU WILL NOT HAVE ROOM ENOUGH TO CONTAIN IT.

Now shake off those things that were bringing you down.  There is no place for any snake-bytes in your life right now, God is preparing you for a good future, a healthy, wise, prosperous future!

DEVOTIONAL 9 “The Importance of Prayer” – Col 1:9-12

What kind of prayers do you pray for your family members, congregation, friends, or colleagues?  And do you pray for those that are lost to get saved in Jesus Name?  It is easy to sometimes forget to pray for the unbelievers especially if they are people who do bad things.  We tend to feel that we do not want to pray for unbelievers who have hurt us.  But this is exactly God’s instruction in His Word: Love your enemies and pray for your prosecutors.

Even more than that, we need to pray for those that are part of the household of faith in Jesus Christ.  Paul gives us a good example of how we can pray for our fellow believers in Col 1:9-12.  Read these scriptures through and pray the same prayer for everyone you know… pray for the infilling knowledge of Gods will for everyone (v9) and wisdom, understanding and discernment.  These are gifts God wants to give all His children.  By praying for all to receive these gifts, God will bless you.

Pray that everyone you know may walk in a manner worthy of the Lord (v10) and that they may be invigorated and strengthened with all power (v11).  And while you pray, keep givings thanks to God continually who has qualified you and made you fit to share in the inheritance of the saints.  Read Col 1:9-12.

DEVOTIONAL 8 “God completes you” – 1 Pet 5:10

1 Pet 5:10 And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace [Who imparts all blessing and favor], Who has called you to His [own] eternal glory in Christ Jesus, will Himself complete and make you what you ought to be, establish and ground you securely, and strengthen, and settle you.

It may sometimes feel that the whole world is falling down on you, but you need to remember that you have a God that cannot be stopped; killed, hurt; or get sick…. And this great God is living inside of you!

Yes, everything you need is already prepared beforehand for you.  God is waiting for you to start walking by faith, declaring that the grace of God is a free gift that He gave you, and because of this free gift, you can have everything you need, in Jesus Name.

Declare today that you are blessed; healed; delivered; set free.  Confess your joy, love and patience.  Shout out to the devil that you are more than a conqueror – Rom 8:37.  Have a blessed, happy, healed, prosperous, wealthy day in Jesus Name!

DEVOTIONAL 7 “God’s great plan for you” – Jer 29:11

Jer 29:11 For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.

Our enemy (satan and his devilish agents) WILL NOT triumph over us. Our situations are tests to mature us.  My question to you today is this: WHAT ARE YOUR CHALLENGES?  Are you coping with the trials that you are going through?

What is your situation? Whatever the situation that you are facing today; don’t allow them to control you!  If you allow them to control you, you are giving them permission to dominate you. When your situation control you; you will lose sense of reasoning and discernment.  Don’t allow hardships in life to control you.  What is your hardship right now…is it money, is it health, is it poverty, is it loss of a loved one; is it depression or even  rejection? Maybe a sickness or affliction in your body?  – Give it to God, He will sort it out for you.  Jesus has already paid the price for that sickness that you have accepted in your body.  Open your mouth and prophecy, confess and declare that through the blood of Jesus you were healed when you received your salvation.

Stay in faith, and stay with Jesus.  He will see you through your hardship. JER 29:11

DEVOTIONAL 6 “Delight yourself in the Lord” – Psa 37:4-5

Always delight yourself in the Lord… and he will lift you up! This is a good promise from God.  The word delight means:

DELIGHT = Enjoyment, pleasure, happiness, joy, glee, gladness, enchantment, amusement, excitement, cheerfulness.

Psa 37:4-5 Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires and secret petitions of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord [roll and repose each care of your load on Him; trust; [lean on, rely on, and be confident] also in Him and He will bring it to pass.

Allowing God to give you something is so much better than to try and get it for yourself.  Why do we struggle to get something if we know without a doubt that God is able to get it for us?  It almost doesn’t make sense. His ways are higher than our ways; His thoughts higher than ours…God knows better!  He promises to relieve your stress; to refresh your soul; to make you whole; to help you…no matter what… because He loves you, and because He is a faithful God.

Let God be God in your life, He wants to give you the desires of your heart.  Read Matt 11:28-29 for encouragement.

DEVOTIONAL 5 “Endurance with Joy” – Col 1:11

Col 1:11 We pray that you may be invigorated and strengthened with ALL POWER according to the might of His glory, to exercise every kind of endurance…{perseverance and forbearance} with JOY.

I also love this word = INVIGORATED.  It means to be Strengthened, energized, revitalized, or restored.  see also this word – ENDURANCE. It means to have stamina, fortitude, strength, durability, survival, stability.

We should all be praying like Paul for others to be strengthened & restored…. With ALL the power of God so that we can use it for His glory. And while we are being strengthened through prayers of other brothers and sisters in the kingdom, we can endure and persevere through hardships, trials and tribulations

But that is not all – Paul says we have to endure while having JOY.  In other words, REST in the assurance that God will sort the problem out for you, and therefore you have JOY in your heart knowing He is faithful and He will come through for you.

No matter what your situation is today, be at peace with JOY in your heart even though you don’t see the outcome yet.  But God knows the outcome.  Put your trust in Him and He will bring it home for you. And your JOY will be complete when you give Him a prayer of thankfulness.

DEVOTIONAL 4 “Enter the Rest of God” – Matt 11:28

What does it mean to be “content”…?  have you ever really thought about it? Let us look at what this word really means:

CONTENT: Happy, gratified, satisfied, pleased, comfortable, relaxed, at ease…

Mat 11:28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to REST. [I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls.]

What an amazing promise from God….  every time i read this scripture i am amazed at the goodness of God, Who promises us that He will give us rest if we are anxious, or in doubt, or have fear, or are worried…. no matter what – He promises that He will bless you and lift you up! What an amazing promise from God.

Why don’t YOU enter His REST today?

Give everything over to Him and relax…. be sure that if you rest in His presence, He is faithful to give you a calmness; and a peace… that peace that surpasses all human understanding, as the Bible says.  Rest, Relax… you are in the best hands you can be!  Enter His Rest today and be blessed in Jesus Name.

DEVOTIONAL 3 “You are Holy” – Hebr 10:10,14

You are HOLY…. and don’t you ever forget that!  Let us look at the meaning of the word HOLY.

Holy = Righteous, consecrated, hallowed, blessed, sanctified, sacred, divine…

Heb 10:10 And in accordance with this will [of God], we have been made holy (consecrated and sanctified) through the offering made once for all of the body of Jesus Christ (the Anointed One).  This is not something that that we should forget.  We should be reminded every day that God has already made you Holy when you said YES to Jesus.

Heb 10:14 For by a single offering He has forever completely cleansed and perfected those who are consecrated and made holy.

He is talking here about you and me.  We are Holy, therefore we are cleansed, washed, purified, sanctified, and set apart for God’s Glory to expand His Kingdom. Realize today that YOU ARE HOLY because of what Jesus did for you…. not because you chose Him. He chose you first!

Rejoice, Holy child of God.

DEVOTIONAL 2 “Surplus of Blessings” – Deut 28:11-12

Let us begin by looking at the meaning of the word Surplus. Surplus = Extra, excess, spare, left-overs, remaining, additional, added, bonus…

Deu 28:11 And the Lord shall make you have a surplus of prosperity, through the fruit of your body, of your livestock, and of your ground…

Deu 28:12 The Lord shall open to you His good treasury, the heavens, to give the rain of your land in its season and to bless all the work of your hands….

Let us trust God for this great promise He has given us. God is faithful… all you have to do is TRUST HIM… and trust His Word… have a fearless confidence in Him that He will bless you as He promised.

See Hebr 10:35 also.  When you said yes to Jesus, you received a fearless Confidence in Him that no matter what the situation, He will see you through it.  Amazing God that we serve.

Thank the Lord today for all the Surplus of Blessings that He has poured out upon us already….!

DEVOTIONAL 1 “You are Anointed” – 1 Joh 2:20,27

You are OILED with the anointing of the Holy Spirit! LOOK AT THE MEANING OF THIS WORD: Anointed = smeared, daubed, massaged, oiled, smoothed rubbed, spread, spattered…

1 Joh 2:20 But you have been anointed by [you hold a sacred appointment from, you have been given an unction from] the Holy One, V27 But as for you, the anointing (the sacred appointment, the unction) which you received from Him abides [permanently] in you;…

God has blessed us with an amazing anointing to do the work He wants us to do.  Are you making use of the gifts that He has given you?  Are you living and walking with the presence of the Holy Spirit and helping others … you have already received an amazing anointing from God Himself. There is really NOTHING that you cannot do!

Isa 61:1 The SPIRIT of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed and qualified me to do GREAT THINGS…. READ Isa 61:1-3You CAN do all this!

1 Joh 3:8 Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil;

In order for us to live, work, act, speak in/with our anointing to set the captives free, to help the broken-hearted, to set at liberty those that are in bondage….

DAY 133 Unspeakable Joy – Act 16:22-26

Throughout the Word of God we see that many men of God kept their Joy no matter what they were going through.

Act 16:22 The crowd [also] joined in the attack upon them, and the rulers tore the clothes off of them and commanded that they be beaten with rods.  Act 16:23 And when they had struck them with many blows, they threw them into prison, charging the jailer to keep them safely.  Act 16:24 He, having received [so strict a] charge, put them into the inner prison (the dungeon) and fastened their feet in the stocks. Act 16:25 But about midnight, as Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns of praise to God, and the [other] prisoners were listening to them …

Joy always brings a breakthrough in life.  The disciples showed a supernatural joy even in the face of reality while they were in prison.  They kept their joy no matter how hard the situation became.  As a result the jailer was saved.  And through the worship of the disciples God showed His great power by sending an earthquake and opening the prison door.

Keep your joy…. keep your unspeakable joy at all times… no matter what!

DAY 132

DAY 131

DAY 130 Guaranteed Safety – Isa 54:17

Isa 54:17 But no weapon that is formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall show to be in the wrong. This [peace, righteousness, security, triumph over opposition] is the heritage of the servants of the Lord [those in whom the ideal Servant of the Lord is reproduced]; this is the righteousness or the vindication which they obtain from Me [this is that which I impart to them as their justification], says the Lord.

This is probably one of my favorite top 10 scriptures in Gods Word.  Not only does He say that no weapon formed against you shall prosper; but the truth is that anybody that speaks bad about you shall be brought low before others and they will be put to shame.  So anybody that tries to do you wrong, they will stand ashamed.

God promises us so much peace and security – this is our promise from Him and we can live with the knowledge that God is not a man that He should lie.  If He says we are protected and have heavenly security, then you should really understand what that means.  It means that you are backed by the mighty warrior Angel-armies of God… really, what more do you need?

Think about it…. you are safe and protected just because you said YES Jesus!

DAY 130 Keep your Vision – Hab 2:2-3

Hab 2:2 And the Lord answered me and said, Write the vision and engrave it so plainly upon tablets that everyone who passes may [be able to] read [it easily and quickly] as he hastens by.  Hab 2:3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time and it hastens to the end [fulfillment]; it will not deceive or disappoint. Though it tarry, wait [earnestly] for it, because it will surely come; it will not be behindhand on its appointed day. [Heb. 10:37, 38.]

If you have a vision from God you should hold on to that with all your might and trust in God who will fulfill it for you.  Your vision should be written down and should be distributed to the people in your congregation.  You should also act on your vision and not just trust God to do anything. You also have to do your part.

If you are a positive person that is good because your vision will not fail – positive people find it easy to motivate themselves to reach the goal they set before them.  If you confess the vision before God and trust in Him it will come through at the right time.  God is never late; nor early.  He will see you through at the right time.

Remember – do not lend your ears out to negative people that speak bad things over you.  Ignore negative comments and criticism.  Keep the faith and trust in God, He is Your Rewarder and He will fulfill your dream for you, especially if you walk the road with Him.

DAY 129 Commitment – John 6:41-65

Please read the above scriptures before continuing.

What i find very interesting is that most of the times Leaders of churches today are worried about how many people are in their church.  It is almost as if they feel a sense of worth if there are thousands that come together to listen to their preaching.

But in the above scriptures i find that most of the time Jesus was not worried about having a great crowd around Him.  He never pursued great crowds to join Him.  In fact, if you go and study the gospels, you will find that He many times wanted to escape the great crowds.

What we learn from this is that we should have the spirit of Commitment so that even if we have to preach to just 7 people at a time at a place, it does not matter, and you should still do your very best because that is what the father would expect from you.  he will send the crowds if He feels the necessity for you to have them.  But stay committed because that is an honor and a privilege to do for God.  When you call for commitment to your members, find out where you stand with them and purify them in the spirit so that they are ready and able to walk the walk with you.

DAY 128 Fullness of God – Col 2:9-10

Col 2:9 For in Him the whole fullness of Deity (the Godhead) continues to dwell in bodily form [giving complete expression of the divine nature]. Col 2:10 And you are in Him, made full and having come to fullness of life [in Christ you too are filled with the Godhead–Father, Son and Holy Spirit–and reach full spiritual stature]. And He is the Head of all rule and authority [of every angelic principality and power].

These are two of my favorite scriptures in Gods Word because they tell us about the amazing Fullness of the bodily Godhead (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) that is complete in their divine nature, and guess what?… they live in YOU!  Yes, YOU!

V10 says the fullness of His life, in Christ, you are filled with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit and you reach a full spiritual stature… really, what more do we want?  This says it all.  Is there anything more amazing than to have the Godhead in His fullness dwelling inside of your physical body… this amazing spiritual being lives in YOU!

This is why you should not fear anything; have no doubts; not worry about sickness; or poverty… because the great I AM lives in His complete fullness of bodily Godhead within you and He guides you by His Spirit abiding in your innermost being… how amazingly wonderful it is to know that God that created the Universe lives in us.  Wow!  Think about it for a while….

DAY 127 Pure Worship – Mal 1:11,14

Mal 1:11 For from the rising of the sun to its setting My name shall be great among the nations, and in every place incense shall be offered to My name, and indeed a pure offering; for My name shall be great among the nations, says the Lord of hosts.
V14….. For I am a great King, says the Lord of hosts, and My name is terrible and to be [reverently] feared among the nations.

The above scriptures is so amazing because God says from morning till night He wants us to worship Him; and also that the worship offerings we bring should be a “pure offering”.  God doesn’t need to promote Himself; but His worshipers do.  Because we need to show the world that we worship Him that we believe in.

The word of God also teaches us to do our very best in everything we do and therefore even when we worship we should give God our very best worshiping.  Today i want to encourage you to commit to worshiping God with your whole heart and not with your understanding; so that He may receive a pure worship from you when you spend your time with the Lord.

After thought: Do you spend ENOUGH TIME in worshiping God?
